NCAA Basketball RPI Rankings
(as of 12/19/20)
#2 Georgia State (5-1)
#70 Little Rock (4-2)
#97 UL-Lafayette (5-1)
#106 Troy (4-3)
#125 App State (6-2)
#192 South Alabama (6-2)
#203 Georgia Southern (4-2)
#204 Texas State (4-3)
#246 Texas Arlington (3-4)
#254 Coastal Carolina (6-1)
#295 UL Monroe (2-3)
#302 Arkansas State (2-4)
*How NCAA calculates RPI Rankings
team winning percentage (25%) + strength of schedule (75%)

App and Troy are pleasant surprises near top #100.
I think USA, GS, TXST, Arlington will climb in the rankings as the season goes.
Obviously, Georgia State's RPI benefited hugely from playing Mercer twice and beating both GT and Mercer.

NCAA doesn't use RPI any longer, they use their own NET rankings, which is a slightly different formula. What you have here are Jerry Palm's rankings. Jerry was one of the first outsiders to publicly publish rpi rankings in the early 90s. CBS hired him a few years ago and he still can be seen on basketball (primarily) and football. The NCAA hasn't started posting the NET rankings yet.

RE: NCAA Basketball RPI Rankings
I've been pleasantly surprised by App so far this year even though they were decimated by Tennessee this week. I'll take any upward movement. I hate that we are only allowing 25 tickets into the games , I really wanted to see some games in person this year.
