Wtf man? Tulsa is a damn good football team, damn good. And light years better than us. Your post is embarrassing.

Congrats Cincy on the championship.

Aside from Z Collins, a class act, they’re pretty mouthy and cheap. Did you watch them run off at halftime mouthing off as they passed the Bearcat team? The Cincinnati players got me laughing when 4 or 5 in unison pointed up at the scoreboard. #30 for them is exhibit A.

Plus losing the NY 6 bowl to the Sunbelt would be embarrassing despite how good Coastal Carolina is.

Your saltiness is amusing. Pirate tears are bland though. Coogs still my favorite.

If mouthy means passionate, then sure. I missed the cheap. Tulsa is a tough, physical squad - that was a great game.

Both teams were better than those loser teams in the B12 CCG.

Pretty sure both teams could come within 34-10 to Clemson too, wink, wink.

FWIW, I was more "impressed" with Tulsa than Cincy yesterday.

Of course you were. That is hardly a surprise.

There are only two p5/g5 match ups. Guess who got them?

Tulsa needs a p5 win, it's going to get better but almost all of our p5 match ups have been on the road and a good percentage have been against ranked teams on the road. Getting a neutral field is about as good as it gets for another couple years. Our loss to Virginia Tech in the Independence was a big missed opportunity. So while I would prefer a .500 p5 or a ranked louisiana, liberty, coastal this isn't the absolute worse. We match up well with the pass happy Leach who also should add some flavor to it. It's in DFW, we can finished ranked, reward for the kids with us losing senior night.

It kind of is what it is, but we could make it into something not too bad.

Well, IIRC, Cincy was a 14-point favorite. That's a big favorite, indicating expectations for a dominant win. Instead, Cincy won by a FG at the buzzer. So that would tend to cause most impartial people to be more impressed by Tulsa, relatively speaking.

That's the power of the SEC.

Which, btw, should be thanked (a) because the SEC saved the whole season by choosing to play back in August, (b) because even with all the bowls that have been canceled, several more were canceled due to lack of teams to play in them (see Army and the Indy), and © their thanks is *likely* to be a historically poor bowl performance record, precisely because they are putting their dregs in to bowl games vs much better teams.

Disappointing ratings numbers, for ALL the CCGs with the exception of Clemson vs ND (which still fell short of the first chapter).

Showbuzzdaily has their weekly article out, no sportsmediawatch yet. (When that's out, I'll post a year-long viewers thread)

ACC Champ 9.919 million viewers; last year 3.97 million
SEC Champ 8.912 million viewers; last year 13.7 million
B1G Champ 8.031 million viewers; last year 13.55 million
PAC Champ 3.847 million viewers; last year 5.86 million
B12 Champ 2.990 million viewers; last year 8.7 million
AAC Champ 1.882 million viewers; last year 2.88 million
mwc Champ 1.421 million viewers; last year 0.55 million
MAC Champ 0.875 million viewers; last year 0.358 million

I wonder how much the AAC and SEC games being on at the same time affected each other.

Viewership down for both. We've been head to head with the SEC before and done better. AAC obviously didn't take 4.8 million viewers from the SEC.

That’s interesting since the CCG last year was the second week in a row UC-Memphis played one another.

I realize our game had fewer viewers, but that BXII title game—- woof!

NFL having two games on Saturday probably didn’t help.
