AAC NY6 scenarios
IMO of course:

1) Cincy goes to playoffs

- Cincy beats Tulsa, ND knocks out Clemson, TAMU loses to Tennessee, Alabama beats Florida, Oklahoma beats Iowa State, Northwestern beats Ohio State.

2) Cincy to NY6 as G5 champ

- Cincy beats Tulsa, at least one of the rest above (1) does not happen.

3) Tulsa to NY6 as G5 champ

Tulsa clobbers Cincy, CFP moves them up ahead off CC.

4) Cincy makes NY6 as at-large

Cincy loses very close great game to Tulsa, Oklahoma loses to Iowa State, Alabama crushes Florida, Ohio State blasts Northwestern

5) Tulsa and Cincy both make NY6, Tulsa as G5 champ

Tulsa beats Cincy in great game, all of (4) happens, committee vaults Tulsa over idle Coastal.

6) No AAC team makes NY6

Tulsa beats Cincy, but not impressive enough to vault past idle CC.

Any others? Flaws in my thinking?

4 and 5 would never happen under any circumstance whatsoever. 3 is highly unlikely to happen even if Tulsa clobbers Cincinnati.

for my favorite team, and, really, for the 'merican as a whole, lets all hope for the 'cats to run away with it tonight - they're not going to the playoff, but that will cement them, and the league, in the NY6 game.

Well done. The only scenario I struggle to see is No. 5.

pretty spot on..
but noting the one big flaw is with how the committee has voted, they would jump oklahoma over cincy

and with all the backlash (The committee members are human)... cincy could jump iowa state even i they beat oklahoma

the iowa /oklahoma will be hard to judge till the official release

I agree, this is all of the available out comes possible. Most are what would appear reasonable given the current rankings.

The wild card is the damn committee, does NW move up even if they lose to Ohio St similar to North Carolina ND. Does the committee decide they have whipped the American enough and turn on the Sunbelt? His do they judge Indiana, what about Oregon winning, the Rose bowl is a play off does that mean Oregon is guarenteed a NY6 bowl like the deal for the Big Xii with the Sugar when their auto berth is a play off? How do they deal with that?

Good news is most of those outcomes are good for the AAC, bad news is we have no idea what scenario will cause what reaction.
