I agree. Cancel the game with enough time for the Cincy players to "clear quarantine" and they'll be ready for Tulsa in the CG. AAC officials got the scenario they really want it for Cincy.

I wish Tulsa would come to Lafayette this week. We could tune them up before they play Cincinnati. Beat App, Tulsa and then Coastal and have Tulsa beat Cincinnati and the Cajuns are in the NY6. Lol

Affirmative. Which it is why it's so chickenshit.

I think it just gives CCU a chance to add another win before the CCG with UL. If I were in CCU's shoes I'd want to play as many games as possible with teams at least with a .500 season. CFP won't reward a stagnant week with a cancelled game. But a win could help crack the top 10

On the other end, it does put far more pressure on Cincy, as they'll no longer have a CCG fall back option, just in case the committee decided a one loss Cincy champ was preferable to Coastal...

That's also what they said about Rice last week... then they beat #15 Marshall, 20-0.

Oddsmakers only gave Rice a 7.9% chance to win that game.

The AAC isn't your enemy. This fighting over table scraps from the Cartel 5 is beneath the SBC. The real travesty is that Iowas State is now 7th above all non-cartel teams even one who beat them. BYU is psuedo cartel. They are some how still ahead of UL even though both lost close games to CCU and UL has a much better win in the CFP's own mind.

Maybe the best the to happen would be for both CCU and UC to go undefeated and dare the CFP to take a 6-1 Indiana over either.

The AAC pretends to be a part of the class of conference that benefits them at that time. The hypocrisy has reached Doc Holiday levels.

Yup. They think they should get deference in the Access Bowl over an undefeated Coastal Carolina because they're the AAC, but don't like P5s getting deference over them in the CFP selections.

...and AAC is 4-1 vs SBC this year. That is overshadowed by one 9 point fourth quarter loss by Tulsa @ OK State in a rivalry game.

The AAC beat no SBC team with a winning conference record - congrats!

The AAC is the gold standard of the G5, but I'm not seeing much of a difference in the leagues this year.
