"All" Freshman go through the process of acclimating to college level hockey. Some adjust real quickly and some just need a little more time.

On top of that, these same freshman are learning to play with in the "system" and Murray is very detailed coach. Some players struggle with this and it can take a while to figure it out.

Hockey is not like football where you have a "Spring" season to work on these type of things.
I’m just saying at some point these kids want and need to pick up a point or they will get frustrated.

Luke Grainger has 2 G & 2 A
Aidan Fulp has 4 A
Ty Glover has 3 A
Daniel Hilsendager has 2 A
Chad Hillebrand has 1 G in only 3 games played
Hugh Larkin has 1 G
Jarred White has 1 A

And mostly all of this scoring occurred in the last 5 games.

SUP in a round about way illustrates my point. I typically look at/compare teams/players before/after the X-mas break, which in a typical year is around 15-17 games. In 2016-17 our top three freshman (conf) where Allison, Conrad and McGing. Allison acclimated pretty early on with 7 pts in those first 10 conf. gms. But it took a little longer for Conrad and McGine, as both players only put up 3 pts in those first 10 conf games. Eventually, they figured it out and the last third of the year often they where the best line out there. It just took some of them a little longer.

Moral of story, be patient...

That team was also loaded with molino, dries, and icopelli.

I still can’t believe they choked vs Air Force in the ncaa game. That team should have been a frozen four team.

Conrad was a class ahead of Wade & McGing.

Yep, that team was loaded. That's at the top of my list for heartbreaking losses. Perfect mix of talented young guys and great vets. That was also the best version of Ben Blacker we ever saw. I spent the next 3 years waiting for that Blacker to return and it never happened.

Most all of our scoring is being done by the senior class now and we need secondary scoring . Some think this is a rebuilding year and then we will be good but we are going to have a few of these years in a row imo .

Out of those you mentioned only McGing was dominant his freshman year. They all were drafted a few years in. Same with this class. Think about it, this young class has yet to even play at home. Yes this class doesn’t have an Attard who was pre drafted.
What the heck are you talking about man . You need to go back and refresh your memory .

First of all do you know what a true freshman is vs a freshman . Second ;Allison was the second highest player to have come to WMU and was drafted before he came . McGing was drafted in his draft plus one year out of WMU Conrad was never drafted which to me is still hard to believe . Attard was draft in the USHL on his draft plus 2 year

Freshman years Allison .82 pts/gm , McGing .56 , Conrad .48 on a really ****** team the year before . So... year Allison 1.36 before ****** injury , McGing .83 , Conrad .72 . Junior Conrad 1.04 McGing .81 Senior Conrad 1.03 McGing 1.00

Our freshman class this years are 20 and 21 year olds not 18 year olds so i was hoping for a little more .
If you are going to start stating facts get them straight please .

Just imagine...........absent the unforced hooking penalty late in the 3rd.....we likely would have won a game where we were outshot 49-20!
