All you've done is trash Hicks and Miller and there's absolutely zero reason to do so.

This board is a discussion of Temple bb players providing both the good and the bad. I guess you want only positive comments. Will you only allow alumni to state negative things o
about the play of Temple players?

I said Hicks was an excellent shooter. That’s not trashing him.

Said that Miller shoots perimeter set-shots and that might be a problem given his lack of height and his being guarded by taller defenders. That’s not trashing him. Their low national ratings are just facts. Don’t want that mentioned? Readers entitled to know that. Chill-out.

You’re getting repetitious. Please text about Temple bb. I’m going to ignore any other post. Over 40,000 clicks have recorded on my posts.

I’ve just chronicled my view of Temple bb the last three years. It’s just a reference for Temple fans to consider.

I don’t get D.Dunn. Terrific two-point jump shooter in HS, struggling at Temple. High bb JQ, yet turning the ball over a lot at Temple. But brilliant getting to the foul-line often.

When he had his boot on two years ago, I taught him how to shoot a three-ball as his form way off. He picked up the correction immediately, and he then with his boot on sunk 9-10 on three’s in a row. Now he has reverted to old way. Bb players often do that.

Houston should blow-out OSU tonight, but upset is possible.

The top three teams left in tournament are Gonzaga, Baylor, and Michigan. No other teams even close.

It’s sad JH722 that rather than discuss Temple bb which is the purpose of this site that you engage in personal attacks. That you consider my saying a Temple recruit spits his legs while shooting is “trashing a player.“Seems you didn’t get a Temple education. Now you go after me for picking the favorite in a bb game?

Sometimes every team has bad nights. There are upsets dude. Picking winners is not a science. ECU beat Houston during regular season. Go figure.

Las Vegas had Michigan 6.5 point favorites to beat UCLA. As such, the bookies thought Michigan a far better team than UCLA. They also got it wrong. I’m in good company.

Michigan averaged 73-points per game in conference play. Michigan out-coached and had an off night scoring but 49 points and lost by one point. Either of last two shots go in, Michigan wins. Not exactly a gotacha moment for you.

Two out of three not bad. Also picked three out of four winners. Not bad. As I picked Houston to beat Rutgers, Syracuse and OSU. And for Baylor to beat Houston.

Three season ago, I along with Granger, predicted that Temple would finish with a 23-10 recorded as they did. Almost everyone else said Temple would have a losing record since Temple had losing record the prior season.

Two seasons ago, even though Temple had a new HC, I did pick Temple to win the AAC. I cautioned that might not happen if the HC had his worse shooters take it’s most FGA’s. Unfortunately, the later occurred. Temple started the season strong by applying a pressure defense. I wrote that Temple had to play a pressure defense even more in conference play. That opposite occurred in conference play As a result, Temple had a losing record.

Did predict that Temple would do poorly this season, and unfortunately that proved true.

So while you do not like my takes, others appear to like reading a different prospective regardless if they agree or not.

I have criticized Houston for playing it safe by not designing creative plays that results in easy hoops, and thus make Houston bb enjoyable to watch. Instead, Sampson has chosen to play a HS offense that avoids turnovers, and relies on long 2-point jump shots (a low percentage shot) so that on misses they garner offensive rebounds. and make put-backs to win games. I call it gimmicky bb.

They should have been eliminated by Rutgers. My criticism of Houston bb has drawn the wrath of AAC fans. So be it. Believe their gig is up and Baylor will beat them.

He graduating this semester. PSU school doesn’t have his major. He has many options, but like everything else you speculate without having facts.

PSU doesn’t have grad school in building construction. His future looking very bright. Stay tuned.

You’re trashing former Temple players to get at me. Sad.

Kansas? Eastern Washington from the Big Sky conference outscored Kansas by 8-points of the first half of the NCAA tournament. Ultimately EWU lost the game.

You should be lamenting that Scott, Hamilton, and NPL, leaving Temple. At a Temple banquet, fans came up to Scott and told him liked his game, and were looking forward to seeing him play this past season.

Don’t think you realized what happened last Season. Temple lost to SMU, UConn, and Temple by 14,15, and 16 points withScott shooting very little and playing few minutes. In the second game against those three same teams, Temple won each game, and Scott scored 22, 25, and 16 points. He brought out the best in Rose and NOL not the other way around.

Scott was underutilized at Temple. But don’t expect that to see that. Scotttranfsdfing is Temple’s loss, not the other way around.

Keep in mind Scott scored 25-points against UConn and helped beat them
in double-overtime. That season only one other player scored that many points against them.

And while Oregon State University outscored Houston 43-35 second half in ab Elite Eight game of the NCAA tournament game, in the second half of Portland State’s game with OSU this season, PSU outscored OSU 45-35, led by Scott playing in only his second game as PG, in which he scored 11-points, on 4-7 shooting, including 3 -three point plays.

Most posters want to see former Temple players succeed. You engage in put-downs.

You accuse me of not being a Temple fan. I’ve helped former Temple players improve their games. I’ve tried to get good ball-players from the AAC and the Big East who were transferring to consider attending Temple.

The same fans did not speak up when Rose and NPL shot the ball terribly. Resulted in losing record.

RE: Temple’s men’s 2020-2021 basketball season
HC Mckie is a very nice and good man, but his coaching leaves a lot to be desired.

In his first year as HC, Mckie favored Rose and Nate Pierre Louis, even though both shot awful and only had a decent game once out ofevery four games or so. Moorman was simply awful that season.

If Mckie had sat Moorman and played Scott as PG, Alani Moore as SG, NPL at SF, Rose at PF, and Hamilton at center, Temple would have rolled through the AAC.

I witnessed McKie jumping up and down with glee watching Scott play outstanding PG in the Bahamas in two games. and continued to be during the ensuing season.

An argument could be made that Perry should have played over Hamilton. He only played in small line-ups when Temple was down points, and when he did, Temple dominated. See UConn and SMU play by play. . Rose was a terrific defender of the rim, and rebounded well the few times he played inside. Should have defended down low.

Temple’s good line-ups rarely played together, and fans instead only got glimpses of what could have been.

Playing against top ranked Maryland, Alani Moore scored 22-points, shooting 7-11 from the floor, 6-10 on three’s. Rose shot 4-16 abandoned NPL 0-7, and still Temple almost won the game. Alani Moire should have played a more integral part of the offense after that. That didn’t happen.

Mckie saw in practices that Moore, Scott, and Perry were the shooters, yet instead favored Rose and NPL, and we saw the disastrous results of that decision. No wonder a prior poster didn’t lament certain players leaving.
