Nice point. Our current teams struggles with mental toughness especially when things go bad.

I think Brady White brought a lot of mental toughness that rubbed off on the rest of the offense. Especially the receivers. The OL seemed to take a step backwards this year, but I think that was exacerbated by the lack toughness at the RB position. With exception of Clark, our RB's seemed to dance around looking for a hole that never was going to materialize. That will improve as they mature.

I think you are making a poor portrayal of what this team has been through this year. Unexpected and uncontrollable losses of top talent and large numbers of players leaving would break most teams. But even with an inexperienced line, lack of a premier RB, losing 4 WR expected to make an impact and a chronicle underperforming defensive backfield we still end up 7-3 with multiple come from behind wins overcoming much that went bad!

Perspective my friend. Perspective.

Your response is spot on. I think the team hung tough and persevered through a lot of adversity. This team never quit when it would have been easy to do so. Very proud of them and our staff. Thrilled to have Silverfield leading the program. More good times ahead, in my opinion.

I don't think of White as mentally tough, and he for sure isn't physically tough. What he is; is accurate and smart. The running backs ARE tough and durable, but they aren't physically gifted compared to what we have been spoiled with the 4 years prior.

I think the late game winning drives are an example of mental toughness. I think the games where he played better in the second half than he played in the first half are an example of mental toughness. Coming back after hearing boo’s from the crowd shows mental toughness. IMO he’s plenty tough mentally.

I recall a game at ut, I believe the one DeAngelo was out, the side line reporter during the game talking about Tiger players coming to the sideline after a series saying “hey, we can beat these guys!” That was around the time where they changed their thinking.
