I'm guessing he's not a Lomax fan.
Lomax needs to shoot the 12-15 footer. He wants to drive and get the foul but he rarely does.
Really he should have just dumped it to the cutter (Q) and that would have been 2 easy points. He just doesnt have the basketball IQ of a college level pg.

That or I was thinking he should have kicked it out to Jayden since just about everyone from Tulane collapsed or watched. Probably either he or DJ end up with an open shot.
@HHT Unfortunately he needs to get better at that as well (a long with others). That drive and pull up jumper has been there quite a bit and guys just miss it.

Another one.
Jesus.. craziest thing about that play is the guy he waives off is our best shooter (Nolley) and he would have had a guy 7 inches shorter trying to close out on him. Absolutely outrageous

In the first video, he was out of the picture, but the move was to throw the ball outside to DJ who was wide open for a 3 pointer. DJ probably also could have cut to the basket and would have had a layup.

You guys are hilarious (NOT Alanda). Since the beginning of the season...
- Look at the analytics!
- Look at +/-!
- You can't cherry pick a short video, blah blah blah
Then Lomax has better +/- numbers that last couple of games, including +16 while Boogie is -9 and Baugh is -4 against Tulane, and...
- "Tulane kept going on runs when Lomax was in." (completely false)
- Analytics don't tell the story, Lomax had nothing to do with anything good!
- +/- is meaningless!
- Look at this short video!!!
This is the video that a posted, that a couple of you called cherry picking. It is 3 minutes of Baugh and Boogie running the offense. It has everything you don't want in point guard play. Insane passes, heat check 3 pointers early in the shot clock, missing a wide wide open player (Jayden of course) cutting to the basket, the ball on the perimeter until there are 8 seconds left on the shot clock.
9:00 Boogie comes in and immediately puts up a heat check 3 without even looking at anyone
9:33 Baugh's pass...no explanation needed. A D1 player should never even think of making a pass like that.
9:45 If LQ doesn't turn at the last second, the pass hits him in the head and it's another turnover. Baugh then jogs up the court and instead of filling the lane for a pass from Nolley, inexplicably runs into Boogie 30FT from the basket on the other side of the court.
10:16 Misses a wide open Jayden cutting into the lane, and passes back to Boogie who takes a contested 27 footer
11:20 Baugh rebounds, brings the ball up the court, points out something, holds the ball until there are 12 seconds left on the clock, then passes to Boogie 40FT from the basket. We don't make a move to the basket until there are 8 seconds left on the clock, and Baugh puts up a crazy airball.
The story is the same. All 3 of them are bad point guards. The only difference of opinion is where some of you think Boogie and Baugh should get all the minutes and Lomax should never see the floor.
Also, at least some of the problems with the point guards wouldn't be as severe, IF we ran a decent offense with motion, and IF the other players were smarter about finding open spots when the point guard drives to the basket. On the Lomax video, when he drives to the basket, none of the other players try to get open; except for DJ...and Lomax doesn't pass it out to him.
