C-USA exit fees
This may be posted somewhere else, but does anyone know the exit fees and timeline required to leave the C-USA? If the AAC came calling tomorrow, what is a realistic transfer date?

Surely UAB can't afford a massive buyout or forfeiture of $$$

RE: C-USA exit fees
Exit Fees are a family size bucket of fried chicken and a quart of mash potatoes and gravy and a side of green beans, with a gallon of sweet tea.

I heard exit fees are not a problem. I could not tell you what they are but its not an issue.

RE: C-USA exit fees
I thought Chuck Landon(Marshall Beat Writer) had estimated it to be around $5 mil, but some say it’s what you’d get from conference revenue annually which is far less than a mil. Who the heck knows?….

Same with a notice requirement. Who the heck knows whether it’s a year, 14 months, 18, or 27?

What I’m referencing in top sentence, but this is from 2016. Expect it to be far less than $5.6 mil by now.

Then there’s this on Tulsa. https://tulsaworld.com/sports/college/tu...29010.html

It appears to be whatever the small exit fee happens to be, plus what we’d be getting from tv revenue.

Maybe someone at Al.commie should be a reporter or journalist and look into it, so we don’t have to speculate.

we’d have one or 2 boosters put up that amount of money before the end of the day, if we were invited.

RE: C-USA exit fees
I would expect that due to the conference fall under Judy that exit fees will be chump change & maybe only a 1 or 2 yr notice like we see from the move that started this rd. I can't imagine the price tag on the fees will be much since our tv contract & conference stature is much lower than the last time people left it.

RE: C-USA exit fees
In 2018 it was $5,677,570. Since then, C-USA no longer has the NFL network deal but added a few streaming deals, which probably don't add much revenue.

Total C-USA revenues have declined from $45 million (2018) to $35 million (2021) according to IRS form 990 disclosures. Speculating a similar percentage drop in exit fees would equate to approximately $4.4 million.
