I think I read for baseball you had to have transferred in the summer. Has this changed?

By these rules, a football transfer that was enrolled and sitting out this year could play in a bowl game in the coming weeks, and of course, not lose any eligibility.

Pretty interesting news.

My sources are telling me that former #Clemson & #Duke quarterback Chase Brice (transfer portal) will be committing to Appalachian State as a graduate transfer. The #Mountaineers had a need at QB since Zack Thomas declared for the #NFL
draft: @EthanJoyceWSJ @ChaseBrice

Did Zach Thomas really declare for the NFL? I thought his best option would be to come back for a year.

I have heard zero about him declaring. He made a post about "what a career" it has been at App. Don't know if that's his farewell but it's only thing that's public. I don't know how having a grad transfer take over the offense will sit with the fanbase when we have a couple redshirts at QB that probably could beat out an interception machine like Brice.

I guess that's done. I don't see him getting drafted, which may be a good thing in that he could sign with a team that actually will give him the best opportunity to stick.

As long as they don't run any of those godforesaken bootleg multi-level crossing routes he should be good.
