Yes because her double major got her a job as a bartender, so there's that.

Pays better than either of those degrees would get her

I think that's the lesson you're learning from progressives.... AND from reactionary Republicans.... but I think the majority of people fit into that space.

Whether that space is embraced by Reps or Dems or a 3rd party like Libertarians is what remains to be seen. Unfortunately, most 3rd parties have been defined by the other two existing parties who focus on fringe factions of an already small demographic... and not by their actual beliefs. Small Federal government, mostly local control, individual liberty that stops at your neighbors nose USED to be a Republican. Many democrats would be more than happy with less of 'the man', more local control and individual liberty... the freedom to be different as long as you aren't harming others.

So I agree with your point, but I disagree that there is no place for moderates. The question is, do Republicans fill that void or a 3rd party. I actually HOPE its a 3rd party, but I think the former is more likely. Its also possible that progs split the left and the remaining dems move pretty far right... and I might be tempted to vote for that party.

Either she had a hell of a bartending experience or got degrees but learned nothing. Those degrees have so many decent paying applications that I can't begin to count them. Maybe she just realized that politics was an easier and faster and more lucrative way to make her fortune and that bartending was more likely to get her name known in her borough than being a junior analyst at some firm in Manhattan.

The reason this doesn't bother me that much as a moderate Republican... and by moderate I mean I'm very conservative on some issues (mostly fiscal) but very liberal on others (mostly social, though through a libertarian, not progressive view).

I believe a lot of my positions agree with many moderate liberals more than they agree with progressives.... and although this would push the Republican party (or at least the people who vote for Republicans) left, it would also greatly minimize the SIZE of Democrats. I'd rather elect a moderate Republican than a moderate Democrat

I used to describe myself this way, almost word for word. Until the election of 2016 when I was called a deplorable for supporting Trump. Keep in mind I was a two time Obama voter being told I was racist for supporting Trump.

If I learned anything from the Left the last 4 years, there is no place in politics for moderates.

XACLY!

Could you imagine if this dumb arse became SOH. She would not put one single bill to the floor without baking in climate money and free stuff money into it.

Our country would be broke in months.

All she needs is fire votes and she can stop Pelosi from being speaker

Fair point, I forget her location would have more use for that degree. Here in Nashville bartenders downtown can make 6 figures working 3 nights a week. Well they could pre-covid

AOC is correct. She needs to be held accountable for losing seats in the house due to her pushing a phony impeachment and blocking Covid recovery aid...that..plus she is just a horrible human being not worthy of leading a garbage truck to the dump.

That being said. She will be speaker again. Mark it down. She has enough dirt on the members of her party to keep them in line. Like her or not?...She holds a ton of power.

Wow, she just lost 46-13 for a spot on the Energy and Commerce panel. Think the rest of the democrats don't like her either.

Read about the vote. Story said the vote was secret and she got those results but if the vote was public the vote would've been vastly different as other reps fear the sway she has with the far left.

Why is everyone in our government doing something because of fear? That's why these old useless people need to go. Lazy asses are only there for the benefits. SMH.

I know you're being facetious but you've got something there. But, I would say in 2022 that we start. They are there for their own good and by the way they lead it's a given that that's what it is.

We need 2022 to be another 1994. But this time don't screw it up.
