RE: Rice WBB vs Louisiana
Rice's 8 turnovers limited the number of shots Rice had in the 2nd. At the half it is 42-25 .
Rice shooting 69.6%
Mulkey with 12 points.

Removing all starters and replacing them with all bench, not working

RE: Rice WBB vs Louisiana
83-51 is the final.
Win could have probabbly been bigger but starters played limited minutes (Smith -20, Wiggins -18, Mulkey-14, Crosthwait-20, Schwartz-24).
Mulkey finished with 18 points (8-8) and 4 rebs. Crosthwait with 9 pts and 6 rebs. Wiggins with 7 pts and 6 assists. Schwartz with 10 pts. McCurry with 4 pts. and 11 rebs. Swayze with 14pts.
Rice 63.3% from the field

Love how wrong I was when I guessed that there might be a dip in performance in the post-Ogwumike era. We'll have more of a full picture when we get to play A&M, but I was guessing that the first few games would be much worse than this. Like dragon said, probably could have won by 40-50 if the starters had played longer.

RE: Rice WBB vs Louisiana
That was one impressive outing, especially given it was their first game in almost 2 weeks. ULaLa has a decent squad, losing by only 3 points at LSU last Friday. Nice warmup for the all-important game in College Station this weekend.

Mulkey: 18 points, 8-8 FG, 2-2 FT, 4 boards, 2 blocks, 1 assist...in just 14 minutes!
McCurry: 4 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, 1 block
Swayze: 14 points, 6-8 FG, 3 boards, 1 assist...in 24 minutes
Crosthwait: 9 points, 3-4 3-pt, 6 boards, 3 assists
Wiggins: 7 points, 3-3 FG, 3 boards, 6 assists
Schwartz: 10 points, 3 boards, 1 assist in 24 minutes

All 10 players played at least 18 minutes, save for Nancy's 14 minutes. Crosthwait and Swayze have really stepped up their games this year, and have been consistent. Schwartz still struggling a bit, but others are picking up the slack.

Big test upcoming against the ranked Aggies.

So far, Rice has improved its 3 point percentage considerably: 2019 at 30% vs 43% now, mainly because of Swayze (69% ) and Crosthwait (42%). Those two are for real, although (jinx alert), they will probably cool off a little.
