RE: Cincinnati
One problem for UC is that they haven't played in close to a month. Hopefully, they play well against Tulsa and then aTm loses to the Voles, Iowa State beats Oklahoma, Florida loses to 'Bama and Notre Dame beats Clemson.

At that point, I really think the 'committee' would have to take UC over two loss Clemson (whose QB has pretty much checked out this season), two loss Iowa State (which lost to a Sun Belt team), three loss Florida, 2 loss Georgia (who has beaten only 1 team with a winning record - Auburn who just fired their coach) and a two loss aTm team who's best win was against a 3 loss Florida.

Of course, we're talking about a corrupt organization that is really only accountable to....ESPN/Disney.

More and more convinced it's time to stop living any part of my life FOR college (or any) sports. I know.... That's what they want you to do. To give up and "let the P5s handle this".

And it would be the same if it was Memphis or UCF in Cincinnati's spot. They would find a way for the P5 programs to be in the top four. This shows the CFP committee thinks very little of the AAC.

It shows that the committee will screw the AAC. The committee knows that what they are doing is bull****.

Been saying it for awhile. I think some of you used to argue with me about it.

Yep. I agree with that. There is no way G5 will get into a 4 team playoff. It simply won't happen. Only way we can get into an 8 team playoff would be if it were written into the agreement that there would be 1 spot for the top g5 team.

How about we start by you telling us how the CFP is not about money.

If it's not about fair equal opportunity then it goes along the liberalism/communism. Capitalism is an economic system not a political system. If Cincinnati is proving they are worthy then why deny them? Oh because 5-0 ohio state and 3 two loss teams deserve better. CFP is a joke. Aresco agrees with me. Check out the article on ESPN. At least make it seems like it's fair

AAC commish Aresco thinks it's hot garbage

https://www.espn.com/college-football/st...ball-teams

and imo they need to stop calling it a college football playoff. Teams qualify for the playoffs in all team sports that I am aware of, not get selected for it.

Lol...So the haves keeping down the have nots is considered communism now.

Who knew.

That is kind of how that system works. History books much?

Sounds more capitalist than communist.

Even with an 8 team playoff, the committee would "unofficially" reserve 3 spots for the $EC, 1 for the ACC, 1 for the Big 10, 1 for the Big 12, 1 for the PAC12, and 1 for the rest. That last spot would be fought over by ND, The AAC, the Mountain West, and CUSA. The AAC champion would have to be undefeated and ND/BYU/Boise State have terrible years just to have a shot.

Not sure about some of your numbers or thoughts. Clemson lost one game, and I don't think Lawrence of Clemson checked out. UGA beat two winning teams. And A&M lost one game.
Cincy won on a last second field goal to Tulsa. Congrats to them. What happened the last couple times Cincy were in a real bowl game?

I think it's time for one or two CFP play in games... one spot dedicated to the best non power team as long as one qualifies that year. If they get blasted year after year (they won't) then you can scrap it in a few years. But it's crazy to not even give them a chance.
