Jackson exploring bowl game
That stadium and that city have too much history not to host one.

RE: Jackson exploring bowl game
I am smelling something other than Jackson, Mississippi then just a bowl game. Hired a big name famous person as a head coach, and attract donations? Could that school I am thinking about angling for an FBS invite?

Jackson is a great place for a G5 bowl game. while MS may have just one G5 program, there are 10 in neighboring states.

Now that Mississippi has redesigned it's State flag without the Confederate battle-standard in it...Yeah, Jackson is a real possibility in addition to a couple of other spots.

Jackson is no worse than some of the other cities hosting 2nd and 3rd tiered bowls. If they can support it, why not?

Is the stadium really 60,000 capacity?

I think people should wait until COVID is done with before we start adding or replacing bowls.

Yep, and the Egg Bowl plus other marquee games used to be played there.

People would want to go to Mississippi for a bowl game?

Mississippi Veterans Stadium hosted SEC doubleheaders. Its history is amazing and this stadium needs to be part of the sport beyond FCS.

Yeah, they are in the footprint of SBC as will. SBC does not have a team there in that state.
