Men's BB recruit Kooper Jacobi
Kooper's All State teammate Trey Huffman is sitting out with an injury and he's had to pick up his game for his Silver Creek team.

from the News Sentinel https://www.newsandtribune.com/sports/bo...dbd53.html

JACOBI CONTINUES TO SHINE
Jacobi continued his scorching start to the season over the weekend.
First, the 6-6 senior forward tallied a game-high 29 points in the loss at North Harrison. Then, he came back Saturday night and had a game-high-tying 33 points in the loss to Blackhawk. He did much of his damage in the latter while being guarded by — and guarding — Furst, the Braves’ 6-9 big man who has also signed with Purdue.
Through five games, Jacobi is averaging 34.8 points per game.
“I’ve never seen a kid compete and have a motor like Koop,” Hoffman said. “I hope guys don’t take for granted how much of a competitor that dude is. And he can score in any different way. He’s been shooting incredible all year. He’s a baller. If he’s not an Indiana All-Star I don’t know what one is. Koop’s going to play a small forward or a shooting guard in college and he was guarding Purdue’s power forward or center next year, but he didn’t back down.”

No fluke, coach finding commits out of the SE Indiana area. Toledo is a good path for them and they're good for Toledo.

With Rollins and Hill as freshmen this year and Jacobi next year that is a nice nucleus.

True, add in Edu and the other frosh Elijah Wilson, a 6-5 guard, who is real talent and doesn't force things, and there's a lot of upside. Saunders is improving and still has 3 more years of eligibility too. The challenge for us now is getting our senior pg out of his slump.

And don't forget Ra'heim Moss who is sitting out this year. He is an athlete who is still developing as a Basketball player. There is a video from Jordan Strack's Twitter Account of yesterday's practice of Assistant Coach Justin Ingram setting him up for a dunk at the rim when the second team was on the court practicing a zone.
