Yes, thank for keeping that site alive. Not many highlights this year, but it's fun to go back at look at some of the better game in NIU's past. The 2010 and 2018 MACC's always cheer me up.

Why was MD banned in the first place?

MD is a good person, a friend, and a rock solid Huskie fan. I miss him and would like to see him back on this board.

MD, for all his kookiness, was one of the mainstays on this board for as long as I can remember and probably the biggest Huskie fan there is. I was in and out for a while so I missed it and genuinely wanna know why he was banned, if anyone can shed light. If it's for anything other than something truly beyond the pale, that's garbage.

MD derailed nearly every thread. His obsessive fascination with Carey had gone too far. I had challenged him to go just three posts without mentioning Carey...he couldn’t do it. He was a fun poster and great fan, but he was the equivalent of a very strong pro or anti Trump person who just couldn’t help himself but to bring any conversation back to his obsession to lay blame. Until he gets that under control I’m not sure that the board(what’s left of it) is still better off.

MD is a nut, but a guy you want on your side.

Does anyone have highlights or full games from the late 90s or early 2Ks. Would love you rewatch some of the great Novak years.

What a wonderful world this would be if we were all of like mind! But in the meantime Dogpound must remain like a serotonin reuptake inhibitor (prozac). Truth is not our friend.

Speaking of which did anyone else note the irony of the White head coach of #3 ranked Iowa wearing a 'anti-discrimation' badge while starting 5 White guys!

I did in 2008. I had just lost my job and wanted to take my wife and kids to Homecoming. He had 4 tickets and gave them to me. He used to live in the town where I am now, but moved to IN shortly after we met.

Very nice guy! Will never forget that generosity! No matter what crazy things people say about him, he was a good guy!

Last basketball season, I was posting looking to buy tickets for a game, as ticketmaster was messed up and had only terrible seats remaining. Going out of his way, MD offered me his tickets via PM for free and called several times to the ticket office to make sure they were waiting for me at will call. After thanking him after the game, he graciously offered up several other games that he couldn't go to. I ended up taking him up on them again for the last home game of the season. And his seats were awesome. I very much appreciated that and respected it very much.

Yes, I met him at the BB games and have communicated with him.

He also helped me by advising me on buying a weather station. It is still working great. He just couldn't keep politics, FOX and conspiracy theories out of his posts.

I think his superfandom and good works earn him another chance. If he starts derailing threads again he gets a 60 day timeout, give him the quick hook.

I think MD should be allowed back and the rest of us should be banned.

Idk whether or not he should be allowed back. Maybe wait till we start winning again, or it will just be more bickering lol. But I do know the man loves NIU. That alone is the most important thing.

I'm happy to jump on here everyday and share this space with everyone of you. Even if our opinions differ, I'm thankful to be speaking with you all on the niche topic of NIU sports. Not many of us our there care enough.
