Utah Tech seems like a vast improvement to me. I was told SHSU was almost purchased by Texas Tech and renamed to something like Texas Tech - Sam Houston or Texas Tech - Huntsville, but obviously that never happened.

I prefer "Utah Institute of Technology" over "Utah Tech University." For athletics, both would let them go by "Utah Tech." They also seem to be embracing the "polytechnic university" label, so maybe "Utah Polytechnic University" (or Institute)?

Utah Institute of Technology reminds me of Devry too much.
