The only thing that should be discussed as rigged around here is the college football playoffs.

CFP rankings are a joke. I know only the top 4 are what matters, but my goodness, at least look at the seasons the other teams have had before just putting them in there. Why play the games if they aren’t going to us the results from those games. They will always justify a reason why a P5 is ahead of a G5, even if that G5 beat said P5 on the field. There should be no Big XII teams ahead of Louisiana or Coastal, period. What the BCS and CFP have shown us over the years, you can play P5 schools, you can beat P5 schools, but we don’t care, P5 is just better because we say so.

What's the point of playoff rankings when you can play like 5 games and be ranked over someone else

It was BS in October when having played 0 games, enter the ranking in the top 5. Gave no credit to the teams that had already been playing for 6-8 weeks. Ohio St has an injury advantage going into the playoffs, it really is an unfair advantage.

Who would have thought Florida would have lost to LSU? You have to play the games. OSU has only played half a schedule. And to your point, not only is OSU more rested than the other teams, but they could take time to scout all the top teams while they weren’t playing if they wanted to. And the other teams have less tape of them to look at. There is a lot that is not right about letting a team that played half the games get in. And there’s no reason why Cincy is over Coastal.

The SBC champ should go to the NY6 regardless of what Cincinnati does but that won’t happen. Florida’s latest ranking is comical.

Let's say Coastal moves up to #11 or #10 in the CFP Rankings.... don't they have a legit shot at taking another At-Large spot in a NY6 bowl?

Once the conference champions get filled in, there will be some At-Large spots going to the highest ranked teams left. It's certainly possible you could see a Cincinatti vs. Coastal Carolina matchup in a NY6 bowl.

A similar situation happened back in 2010 while TCU was in the MWC, and Boise State was in the WAC. Both were undefeated, Top 10 teams and got paired in the Fiesta Bowl.

This situation can play out in MANY different ways depending on how Coastal Carolina does this weekend, and how the Top 15 teams do.

no this situation only works out 1 of 2 ways. 1) the committee will reverse course and jump a potential undefeated Coastal team over a P5 they have kept them behind this whole time, or 2) they will follow suit and Coastal will come up one spot short of NY6. how they do wont matter to the committee.
