not to be rude but y’all look bad. I don’t know how or why y’all have kept Schoenrock for so long.

They are absolutely terrible.
The team batting average is .228 and the team ERA is 5.97. We have one legitimate D1 everyday starter and that’s Hunter Goodman... outside of him... geez.

I did like the relief pitcher y’all threw on Thursday night. Brockhouse maybe? But yea other than that, it’s ugly. For Tulane to take 3/4 without our Ace this year against anyone is shocking.

After the baseball season, there WILL BE A CHANGE with the Head Coach. It's coming, prepare yourself.

Larid is all over this one!

They need to make an out of the box hire... They need to hire Joe Caruso.

This team is terrible... Geez, I tried watching them again yesterday and there is 1 legitimate D1 kid on the field for us and it was Goodman.

I cannot understand how they cannot find innings for Dalton Freeman... given that their current SS is barely .200. Seems if you need to recruit the better kids from Memphis, then you’d do your damndest to find some time for them on the field.

The baseball program under Schoenrock doesn't lose money. And that is why he is still in place... probably. He has brought in some boosters that helped build the new ballpark and keeps the program in the black. I wish we could keep him on as a admin, which would keep the boosters around, and then also hire a new coach that can bring in some winning seasons.

I realize he has helped to get some capex, but I have a hard time believing the program does not lose money annually. There is no media revenue, little apparel revenue. So ticket sales would have to cover schollies, game expense, equipment, meals, travel, and salaries. Doubtful.

I didn't read the whole thread, but my two cents worth is that they should have hired Phil Clark out of Germantown when they had the chance. I believed then that he would get most of the good players out of Memphis.

I have not been impressed with any of the recent coaches.

I’ve watched enough HS baseball in the area to know... there’s not enough HS talent coming out of the Memphis area to field a winning program at the UofM. The top kids will go to local SEC schools... as they would with any coach at Memphis... but there just aren’t enough B level kids to supply the program and be competitive in our league. They need someone who can recruit regionally... someone who can go into Texas, Louisiana, Florida & Georgia and find those kids. We must find someone who has connections & can recruit the southeast.

IF the baseball program isn't losing money, he should never be replaced. Especially now.
