RE: ULM Updates
Coach and a P5 transfer, even if it is the coaches kid, it’s worth something.

Yes. All three were former Clemson players and they were GAs. All worked with Bowden, so hand picked by him.

He will probably be better suited as a position coach like Bowden has hired him as. That FAU offense was rough.

And Akron will never have good recruiting classes, I don't care if Urban Meyer is the coach. There is just no winning history whatsoever to even attract recruits.
The fact Bowden even had a #8 recruiting class in the MAC is impressive... even more impressive is that he beat two P5 teams, won a bowl game, AND won a division title there... that's amazing.
He'll have a much easier time recruiting in talent-rich Louisiana.
Sean Lewis the HC at Kent State says otherwise. Kent has been just as bad as Akron and a longer in D1. And yet Lewis was hired in Dec 2017 and went on to have good recruiting classes: 2018: 5, 2019: 4, 2020: 4, 2021 6 (With the Feb NLI coming).
With the right HC anything can be done. Even recruit to cold places with mediocre to poor facilities. There is enough good talent out there if you know how to evaluate it for everyone to be competitive.

Well you do have 2 guys on campus now that should be able to command any room they are in. People will pay $50 a plate for a dinner to hear them talk, hear them talk about big time football, in front in 80k+ people, with NFL talent.
500 people
x50 a plate
$25,000 added to the budget in just a couple hours.
