RE: So whatever happened with Bussell?
Bussel has been injured... he was poised to be the next big WR... but he lacks speed and body control... and Hall stepped in to take over with Coombs close behind. They had Bussel out there fielding punts/kicks and he had a knack for the muff... I had high hopes for him when he arrived here... but we have so much depth at that role its hard to see where he goes from here.

I still think he has a role.. but he's not sticking out.

Personally, I think Bussell could convert to one hellacious Safety. Good speed, tough, athletic, likes to hit (we’ve seen it on special teams...vs. CMU). I think we had one Safety this year that missed countless tackles, slipped/fell down continuously in trying to cover/make tackles and took terrible angles every game. I think it got to the point where he was subbed out yesterday in the second half (for whatever reason) and...I think the D improved. I’m not naming names because the kid really looks to give it his all and played hard but I just think there had to be better options on the squad.

This is interesting.... I like it. That would add some serious skill to the backend of the defense. Most of these kids played both ways in high school... you just have convince them that they can do it at this level and to give up on their original position.

I like his size as a safety too... He can out high-point balls deep... and he comes with wideout knowledge.

Again... I like this idea.

Bussell is good and takes Eskridge spot next season. He and Hall are neck and neck, the big outside guys with Moore in the slot.
