Fuente + 39.5
Norvell + 19.7
Dempsey + 12.8
West + 11.2
Stobart + 6.8
Bailey - 0.7
Scherer - 11.4
Silverfield - 14.9
Dockery - 21.2
Porter - 32.0

Any list of Tigers coaches that has Dempesy as third is meaningless.

It is hard to believe, but data is data.

Dockery struggled early at Memphis and his career was cut short. So his numbers are low. And Dempsey followed him with Dockery's recruits and improved the winning %.

Dempsey was, in my opinion, the second worst coach in program history.

I wanted to punch him in the face.

He actually had a good start 5-1-1But he lost the last 4 games and then it snowballed from there

Then he and Sparkman got into it and it was over

RE: Last 10 Tigers coaches Football
Dempsey's stats are a bit of an aberration. His predecessor Dockery struggled mightily his first 2 years after following Williamson. Then Dockery had a winning season behind some good recruiting, so seemed to be turning it around before his untimely end. Dempsey had the benefit of Dockery's recruiting, and didn't have to go far to show some improvement due to Rex's 2 bad first seasons (2-20). Of course, the timeline was abrupt and an aberration, so not surprising the data is.

2023 3-1

526-534-33 .489 all time

Norvell 38-15 .717
Silverfield 24-17 .585
Fuente 26-23 .520
Stobart 29-36-1 .447
West 49-61 .445
Dempsey 7-12-3 .386
Bailey 12-20-1 .379
Scherer 22-44 .333
Dockery 8-24-1 .258
Porter 3-21 .125

How are those winning % calculating for ties?
Dempsey for example. I have no idea how you're getting .386:
actual win % = 7 / 22 = .318
ties count as wins = 10 / 22 = .455
ties are thrown out = 7 / 19 = .368

Using actual win %:
Norvell .717
Silverfield .585
Fuente .520
West .445
Stobart .439
Bailey .364
Scherer .333
Dempsey .318
Dockery .242
Porter .125

Ties are counted as half a win and half a loss.

8.5/22=.3863 or .386

Interesting. I'm going to stick with true winning %. A tie is like kissing your sister. No half-credits.
