Our lines, our rbs, and our dbs are typically the strength. This games is weird for obvious reasons.

Our linebackers are a weak spot, and our qb play is shaky at best. Now, our wrs are a concern too.

Vs UAB you have to run misdirection plays and attack the short crosses and passes in the flat to offset the pressure they put on your line with 7 in the box and their blitz package. Do that and they back off the blitz. The one thing you cant do is what Rice has tried all day...

UAB playing well despite missing 31 players and not playing for a month. They’ll physically manhandle us.

We rely on running the ball, their d-line seems to do well at stopping it. Our d typically does a good job, but their o-line is legit, I was hearing the announcers say they rarely ever give up a sack. We don’t matchup well. I’m afraid we are going to have to rely on a freshman qb throwing to win the game, who just threw 5 interceptions and unsure what his mental state is going in. I’m shook.

If Tech can beat UAB at home then Marshall can as well

No they dont and If I was a Marshall fan....

I would be very thankful UAB is in the championship game. Rice vs Marshall was just one of those games where everything goes wrong for one team and goes right for the other. Marshall did not want UTSA in the championship game

So far (knock on wood) he hasn’t Double Doc’d. Hopefully we will have our O line back and healthy. If we do, hopefully we can fend the UAB line off and prevent them from getting to Wells, so you might not see as many cheap shot 15 yard Clarks.

I want to give Rice props. Rice just gets better and better every season. I see Rice being a contender next season. Hats off to Rice and their players who fought their guts out.

Though Rice was a bit depleted also, UAB only had 40 or so scholarship players available, were playing on the road, and got the win when they had to. I feel they earned it on the field. Time for us to now see which bowl committee comes knocking. If they don't though, I'll be pissed.

You would not have run if all are receivers were not hurt and down to our third string quarterback.
