EKU in 2023
Per Football Scoop, EKU will be coming to Nippert in 2023. This rounds out a schedule that includes Pitt, NC State and Miami of Ohio.

I like that slate of games and at least I've heard of EKU.

I always thought Austin P was a Texas school until I looked this year and was surprised to find they are located in Tennessee.

RE: EKU in 2023
EKU asked the state for money for a football stadium and got turned down.

Then they asked for money for an athletic office building and was approved.

So... they built an athletic office building right next to the football field with seats built in on the side of it.

True story.

While I certainly prefer a regional opponent, it's frustrating that we haven't been able to land more balance in our OOC schedules. We should have the expectation of hosting an FCS squad and/or Miami, plus a P5 (or a Boise, BYU) at home each year.

Home/home with APSU or CC would be decent road trip.

MAC deals should be 2 for 1 and that includes Miami. PBS games should be at NIP. UC has said PBS breakeven vs NIP is 45-50 K. We can bring 30 but I doubt Miami brings 10K.

Agree with all of this, particularly the Miami comment. Nippert is our home - we need to play as many games there as possible.

Austin Peay was a very successful Gov. of TN in the 1920 but also important in passing a law that led to the Scopes Monkey Trial. Memorialized by the movie Inherit The Wind. One of three great college cheers "Go Peay" "Ball State" "Morehead"
