Bowl Eligibility Requirements?
Have the requirements for bowl eligibility been relaxed this year due to COVID? I'm just wondering about a (certain) team that had a bunch of games cancelled.

Not relaxed. Eliminated. They're talking about either Tennessee or Miss. State in the Birmingham Bowl. Both are currently 2-6 with 1 or 2 games remaining.

6-5 Tulane did everything right with COVID protocols, finished above .500 (the FCS game would have made it 7-5), played a damn near full slate, and has an SP rating in the low 40s.

Tulane will be sitting at home. :(

UMass still has a shot... 0-4 this year, that makes them eligible

According to my "bowl math", Cincy must make a NY6 bid and one other AAC team "ahead" of us must sit at home. P5 teams are eating up the lower at-large slots.

That really sucks. Hopefully Tulane will get a bowl game. You guys definitely earned one this year. With your coach and freshman QB, you may be bowling a lot in the next few years.
