RE: Bowl invites
There was even talk about BYU, Liberty, or a Sun Belt team stepping up and taking two bowl games to fill slots in games that can't find a taker. So let's not get all snooty on this one. https://kslsports.com/449150/byu-footbal...owl-games/

Very churlish attitude. Army deserves sympathy as they are being left out of a bowl game due to weird circumstances, plus they are Army and serve our country.

Let's hope if anyone cancels their bowl appearance due to the virus (not wishing for that to happen, but if) Army can step in and play.

Aw come on. Y'all are being way too serious on this one. Army was turning games down a couple weeks ago because they were already set with their bowl game and CIC games. It's not like I'm celebrating their bowl snub.

Smirking is celebrating.

Is it though? I'll admit to being a little smug. And a bit of a jerk on occasion. lol

RE: Bowl invites
The NCAA Football Oversight Committee came up with parameters that must be met regarding a "make up" bowl game for those who have been cancelled. Here are some of the rules:
- Games must be played after December 19th and before December 31st.
- Neither school exceeds its maximum football contest limit for the 2020-21 season.
- Games are played between conference affiliates with, or, for an independent institution, contracted with the cancelled postseason bowl game.

The way I read this, BYU would not be able to play Army in a game due to item 3 on this list. They have not had a bowl game cancelled. Or am I reading item 3 wrong. It sounds like you can only do a "make up" game if you have had your bowl game cancelled or come from a conference whose tie-in was cancelled out of a bowl game.

Wouldn't this be saying Army would have to have another PAC-12 team step in since they are the tie in for this cancelled game? Too bad almost the entire PAC-12 opted out.

That worked well. Maybe we will get to see Coastal take a second bowl NY weekend.
