One reason I would not walk across the street to attend this game.

I’d walk across the street. My question is whether or not to drive half way across the state

I don't walk very well. Our travel times would be similar.

In any case, it was hyperbole. I live a five hour drive away (followed by a 30 minute walk from the parking lot).

Well, my drive is about an hour shorter, and I walk at a decent pace, but can’t go long distances without my back calling timeout. If I knew the game was being played, I’ll likely make the trip. We’ll see how convinced I am of the game actually being played.

Guess it depends on the definitions of "long distances" and "decent pace". But my phone just went off in the next room and I could not get there in time. The distance was too far and my pace too slow.

I would like you to be there, but I understand the gamble of making that trip with ANY percentage of possibility of cancellation. THAT was why I used the hyperbole of not crossing the street. Even if I lived on Rice Blvd, that trip would be enough of an investment of time and effort on my part to make the possible cancellation a factor.

But I definitely will be watching remotely if the game is played. I will be there in spirit. Once an Owl, always an Owl.

No apology needed. You don't know me - in fact, few here do. Seeing as I had just confessed to hyperbole...

Why is the New Mexico Bowl being played in Frisco this year? Am I reading that right? If that's the case, we have a very good shot at either one. Either opponent is perfect

The change was announced Nov. 24: https://thespun.com/college-football/the...new-mexico

Quote:The state of New Mexico has altered its state health guidelines, meaning the New Mexico Bowl has had to adjust its location. The bowl game announced on Tuesday it will now be played in Texas.

The New Mexico Bowl will be played in Frisco, Texas at Toyota Stadium. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 24.

RB Jawan King is in the portal.

Was a pretty highly regarded recruit out of HS but his senior year of HS stats weren't great and I think he was recruited over here.

I'd buy 2-4 if anyone had them. Haven't been to a home game in many years now.

I have been wondering about him. We hadn't seen him get much in the way of touches last year or this year. Shame.

I was watching the beginning of their game against South Florida, there were literally fewer than 500 fans. I couldn't believe my eyes
