Adding a game
Both us and the hogs need to add a game. We both are off all this week. A matchup makes sense. Weird thing is, after all these years of wanting it, I couldn't care less if we play or not. If it happens fine. If not, that's fine as well. I'm more interested in our Sun Belt games and winning the league and tournament if it happens.

Adding a game
Coach Walker tweeted

Coach Musselman and I had a good conversation about the possibility of our teams playing this week.

Unfortunately, the circumstances and timing won’t make it possible this season but we are both looking forward to future games between our two programs.

Adding a game
Musselman tweeted

To the great fans of the state of Arkansas we would love to play an in state team this week to fill our open date. We reached out to every D1 team in state and could not get it to work out for this midweek opening. We are still actively looking for an opponent.

Broyles generation and there antiquated way of thinking about Arkansas are all but gone. The old ways are but a thing of the past. About time!

Things have definitely changed when we turn down a chance to play the hogs despite a 9 day break in our schedule. ASU apparently turned them down as well, but they had games scheduled this week already. Thing is, it just isn't a big deal anymore. I guess UA vs. ASU football would still be a big deal, although for the first time in awhile UA is likely the better team right now.

It is finals week. Hard to work in a road game during this time. I bet we would have played had they come here.

I realize it's finals week, and if Darrell put academics first I back him 100%. If not for Covid, UAF may have offered us a payday that would have been difficult turn down. With them only allowing about 4400 fans in the arena (1/4th of capacity), I'm sure the payout would have been equally reduced.

Lets be honest, we didn't play them because we knew they'd beat our brains in. We were hoping to just beat UAPB and call it a week, but that didn't work out so well either...
