Playing ECU and Coastal as often as possible makes sense. Fans can travel to the away games.

There are several NC and SC schools who should be interested in a MTE in Wilmington. A&T, Central, SC State, and Davidson come to mind.

Id love to say an 8 team tournament where everyone is guaranteed 3 games

UNCW/Elon (CAA)
UNCG/Western (Southern)
UNCA/A&T/Campbell/High Point/Gardner Webb/ (Big South)
Charlotte (CUSA)
App (SunBelt)
ECU (AAC)
Central (MEAC)
Davidson (A10)

A weekend tournament with UNCW, Charlotte, ECU, App State, UNCG, WCU would be fantastic for the non ACC UNC system teams and would draw a HUGE crowd. It would also be great for basketball in the state of NC and the up and coming schools in the state.

I would bring my family and some friends for the whole weekend for sure.

Could replace EZ with Davidson and call it a day

LOL, maybe. But as far as fan interest and keeping it withing the UNC system, ECU would be a great fan draw against all those teams. The fact is the growth in the UNC system is not at Chapel Hill and Raleigh.

Throw in Asheville and Central and you would have a really good tournament where everyone is guaranteed 8 teams
