- Hutchinson did not force the lob balls that he had done in in weeks past. I think he's the best QB we have seen here in a while. He can move and gets the ball to different receivers and is a competitor.

-We need Myrick to come back next yr. Great yr out of him and we will feel the loss the way we did with Jeremiah and Maxx at DE.

-Boone, Evans and Bess are good and young. CC has a lot here.

-The O-line looked good again. Hate to see Donnelon and big Mike leave, but we have major depth here.

-Beydoun, Beydoun, Beydoun. This dude is filling in the void I thought Grissom would fill. He is an absolute playmaker who is not afraid to go across the middle. Four 100 yrd games so far. Teams will have to start keying on him which will open the run game. Who was the last WR we had that garnered defensive attention?

-The announcer on ESPN was BAD. I did like the color comentator.

-If we get some DE's that have bend and can get to the QB and a fee LB's that can fill gaps (you saw what happened today when Speights and Myrick did this) then we should all be expecting great things next year. These are the highest expectations I have seen. Fun to be a fan.
The color commentator was former U-M QB, Devin Gardner.

Preston Hutchinson reminds me of Iowa State QB Brock Purdy. Same size, both good runners, both great leaders. Check out Purdy in the Big 12 Championship game, see what you think. I think we are very very fortunate to have Hutch running the show. He's only going to get better and he has great weapons.

Agree with a lot of this Steve! It looked early in the year like we would struggle to run the ball outside of Hutchinson, but Boone, Bess, and Evans all showed a lot. I like that they all seem to bring something different to the table. It should also make Hutchinson a more effective runner while also reducing the amount he'll need to expose himself. I'd expect to see games next year were Boone goes off for something like 120-130 yards, and then others like yesterday where we run for 130 and it's split between the group.

Beydoun, Drummond, Williams, and Knue (along with the TEs) are a GREAT GROUP! It'll be interesting to see how they add Grissom and CJ Parks to that mix next year.

Speaking of those two; Did anyone notice Grissom is now listed as a QB? Did anyone ever notice Parks on the sidelines during games? I would notice Drummond on the sidelines before he was able to return, but I never noticed/heard about Parks.

People that impressed me this year:

Hutchinson just think he's had only 7 career starts. He should continue to improve. I agree I don't think it would be possible to replace Glass III but he proved me wrong in a big way.

Running backs-With Willie Parker sitting out, we struggled with the run but with Boone, Smith, Bess and Evans getting their first FBS experience this year I feel they all will improve especially in holding on the ball.

Marcellus Johnson OL and Alex Merritt-Johnson a sophomore and Merritt a defensive tackle started all 6 games their first as starters. Again I can see added weight and strength along with experience really taking a step forward next year.

Q Williams really added some excitement to kick off returns plus his performance as WR.

Tanner Knue-cidbearit said to watch out for this guy. A huge surprise.

Speights we really needed a solid LB and Speights showed he has the potential to be one.

DB-we lost so many impact players and with injuries and other factors we had a revolving door with many young guys getting playing time. Should be an area of real strength on defense next year.

Ryland-he was always talented, this season he was consistent.

Jose Ramirez- kept getting better as the season wore on. Again another year of strength and conditioning should make him even better as a pass rusher.

We need to recruit a WR named, Tyler. Tanner Knue and Tyler, too. Rob would have fun with that one...

That’s a good comparison Bob. I’ve seen a lot of Purdy the past few years.

Love Hutch. So happy he’s an Eagle. If there’s another level to his play next year, we could indeed “pull a Buffalo”.

Impressive. Keep all of them away from long speeches, in the cold, with no warm clothes...

Hassan Beydoun finished 4th in the conference in receiving yards (Tanner Knue was tied for 7th) and 3rd in receptions, despite missing a game. He had at least 7 catches in the 5 games he played in. What a story. Creighton has done a great job finding receivers from wherever. JUCO, walk-on, you name it.

Yes Sam he has. Sergio Bailey, Antoine Porter and Arthur Jackson were great JUCO guys who provided a bridge to the splendid stable we have today. Creighton inherited a program with little foundation and receivers were obviously a point of emphasis. He did a pretty good job a QB as well going from Roback and nobody else to adding Glass, Wiegers, Grissom and Hutchinson. As Luckey pointed out he also went overboard on DB recruiting.

The one thing we had going for us in the early Creighton years was talented big hitters like Crosby, O'Conner, Harris, Rachwal, Spearman, Calhoun and Hoying on the interior of the other side of the ball. I realize the impatience with our coach's record but I trust he has the ability to shift his recruiting focus back to that area as we have been found wanting for the past two seasons.

If he does not then....
