I hate to say it, but the referee crew might be the best advantage Tulsa has going into this game. Lord knows it was never going to be the crowd who would be Tulsa's "12 Man."
The question is whether this "Marquee" game will get the best crew the AAC can find...or will they get the Tulsa homer crew that gave TU the win in the ECU game?

How did Tulsa fare against ECU, also "at home"? (Hint, Tulsa needed several "questionable" calls to get a late score to escape the game with a 4 point margin of victory.)
So shut the heck up.
That's a good point, the league acknowledged the mistake didn't they? Would tulsa even be in the ccg if they weren't gifted a win the didn't deserve?

The Conference acknowledged ONE blown call, but there was a series of...questionable...calls there at the end, not just the one the conference owned up to being outright wrong.
That being said, I'm grateful to the blown officiating that allows Tulsa to be ranked #18 when we get a shot at them. We need the ranked win. If Tulsa was unranked and sitting on two losses (like they should be), then we wouldn't get the credit if we beat them.

Is Tulsa really the second best team ? Pretty sure UCF (or Tulane with our true freshman qb looking exponentially better every game) would beat them more often then not. I’m glad they’re ranked highly to help the conference (and Cinci), but I’m no convinced they’re the second best team in conference

How about a sig and avatar bet for the UC game?
How about these Tulsa trolls can't post again until after BB season is over?
Have you seen our Basketball team this year? Whether we beat Cincy or not, I dont think thats gonna be a problem

Fair enough, but just remember when we win, that we also lost to ECU, which means you're at best third in the conference

We handed UCF their 1st home loss in over 2 seasons and beat your team with our 3rd string QB. It's pretty easy to see who's the best team.

Nice try, but you're not in 9th grade algebra class here... The "Transitive Property" might apply in equations, but not in football. Regardless of what you did against, ECU, UC took care of business in their game...and they didn't need any help from the referees.
Oh, and the "Rate the AAC" thread is ===> over there somewhere. UC is clearly and unambiguously at the TOP of the conference, and if by some stroke of fate...or crooked referees...we lose to Tulsa, we won't be "third." So...double fail on the troll attempt there.
Weak. Very weak. But what else should I expect?

I know you aren't here that often Jester, but we don't respond to Memphis fans with sincere replies. We try and do our best not to associate with a "women's soccer" school
Particularly when we are in the midst of making fun of them while they try and ride the Cincy tailcoats, and are in general laughed at. Let me offer you the use of my trademark:
Lol Memphis
Highly effective.

Says the guy referencing the Memphis fan using comparative scores and then immediately went for the appeal of popularity....on a message board, then finished with another comparison using the same theory.
*Sigh, it's like BC#1 left and the bearcats became little more than a small school from northern kentucky with no real pizzazz to them anymore. Tsk tsk

At least we didn't leak the conference report like ECU. Our AD had a little more class. We have had some doozy of a bad calls. A couple were against Navy in years past. One or two against Houston several years back, etc, etc. Honestly there are too many to count. Refs are never in our corner. I was shocked and amazed at the ECU game when we actually weren't the ones who got screwed. And there was only one call that was suspect when legitimately analyzed, and it was the one the AAC called. Everybody gets a bad call every once in a while. It just took a long time for the good witch of the West to lay her wand down on us. We should be there, and be ranked.

I have no beef with Tulsa but honestly it seems as if they have decided has a good formula to attempt to emulate. Like somebody on Tulsa liked what they seen from Cincinnati and decided to adopt it. Everything from the 3-3 to the way Tulsa runs their offense it just looks like a copy. Tulsa isn't as fast or as deep as Cincinnati but, they have been pretty successful using UC's strategy. The question is does Tulsa change things up or attempt to play head to head against the team that has mastered the playing style that have adopted? Do you want to throw a 3-3 at a Quarterback who has practiced it against better DB's all off-season and Against a pretty good O-line. UC has also shredded 4-3's and 3-4's as well for the defense of choice doesn't really matter in the end.
The real question for those confident about Tulsa... Do you really think your line can stop UC's D-Line and Linebackers? Tulsa seems to predicate the offense off of running the ball and UC doesn't let teams run the ball against the. UC had made every WR Group in this conference short armed and drop passes; do you think your receivers will fair any differently?
I read somewhere that a Tulsa fan think their defense is better than UC's... Rather your defense is better or not is irrelevant. You guys are scared your superstar linebacker is hurt and UC fans shrug off injuries because whoever is behind the best player is still a pretty good player. Cincinnati played without it's best D-Line and arguably the best Defensive player on the team against UCF... Tulsa doesn't have that type of depth... Tulsa can't tire UC out because they will keep sending somebody different at them.
Be confident in your team because it's your team but, this UC team hits hard and won't stop and they have frustrated every quarterback they have played against. I don't know if you want this to be the game to start the 3rd stringer. This won't be Tulane.

Play it in Tulsa or don't play it at all. What an undisciplined (or just ducking us) program. What is this, 3 or 4 games you all have had to cancel because of your own COVID issues? Not championship material.

If I'm Tulsa's AD I tell the conference that we aren't going to play the championship game against Cincy unless it's in Tulsa. If we don't play and Cincy "wins" by forfeit, Coastal Carolina is likely to jump them in the rankings and get the NY6 bowl, not to mention Cincy would have no shot at the college football playoff.
