RE: Staying/Going
I’m also hearing many seniors aren’t coming back. Hearing as many as 21 players are not returning. Don’t know names but with a new incoming freshman class, room has to be made. This is where it’s a business.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Love ends up at temple.

As for the seniors leaving, there are only a handful that really made an impact. If we lose these guys (Richie, Kramer, ferance, Pugh) to transfer it will hurt and don’t see niu getting much better next season IMO. Need those 4 back to help the progress.

About 100% sure Kramer is back

RE: Staying/Going
I wonder who will be coming via the transfer portal. I like the kid we got from WIU today, but I wonder if we will be more active in the transfer portal market as well to add experience to the roster. I see QB, DE and DB as the likely areas where we potentially add transfers

Of the 16 Seniors only 8 are starters, and 5 of those have said they are coming back. 6 never touched the field.

4 guys have already entered the portal. There's around 30 non scholarship players on the roster right now. There is always a few of those that don't come back each year.

So around the 20ish area seems about right. Which is lower than average for an off-season. The 5 guys that would normally not have the option of coming back would put the number to right about average.

Most important is starters and contributors returning. Of the guys who saw more than a handful of snaps this year, only 3 aren't returning. Bowers, Olsen & Crawford. Everyone else that is graduating, transferring, quitting, etc (so far) you can count their combined snaps on your fingers.

That obviously doesn't take into account any more recruits signing in February or incoming transfers. I know Hammock said in his press conference they would evaluate for transfers after spring ball, and they did already have the WIU FB announce today...but I honestly expect them to be VERY selective about anyone more coming in. Hammock may WANT more, and there might be an interest out there, but Frazier has said repeatedly that financially they need to stay as close to 85 scholarships as possible no matter how many they are "allowed" to have.

Would be surprised if it is that low. Hammock brought in a bunch of guys and probably wants some scholarships for “what if” transfer situations - or to reward walk ons.

I would not be surprised to see 24-28 total players leaving.

Lot of fat on this roster.

No big losses yet - minus crawford, but I don’t count seniors leaving as an unexpected loss. He gave a lot to this program, he didn’t leave he graduated.

RE: Staying/Going
Between 30 and 45 guys leave every year. Last year was an outlier with 56. Here's history from the last nine seasons. These numbers are not exact but should be close. Graduates = those who exhausted their eligibility. Non-grads = those leaving who still had eligibility remaining.

2011 Grads:19 Non-grads:21 Total leaving:40
2012 Grads:14 Non-grads:21 Total leaving:35
2013 Grads:17 Non-grads:25 Total leaving:42
2014 Grads:19 Non-grads:15 Total leaving:34
2015 Grads:13 Non-grads:18 Total leaving:31
2016 Grads:20 Non-grads:22 Total leaving:42
2017 Grads:17 Non-grads:17 Total leaving:34
2018 Grads:19 Non-grads:17 Total leaving:36
2019 Grads:15 Non-grads:41 Total leaving:56

Is it an outlier or the new norm with the new eligibility rules?

RE: Staying/Going
Based on a tweet Thomas Hammock sent - it seemed to be at all of his running backs, here is who is at RB currently:

- Erin Collins
- Harrison Waylee
- Jevyon Ducker
- Jyran Mitchell
- Julius Bolden
- Antario Brown

So anyone not listed I am going to assume is not a RB or at the university. Maybe he didn't tweet at walk ons...but...this will confirm a departure or 2.

McElwain was the coach who offered a scholly to a HS Qb who never started, that is Heisman trophy candidate Trask while at Florida. The guy knows talent. Solid coach.

CMU is such a weird team to me. I “think” their coach can recruit but the only difference makers they have are transfers.
