Last Game: VCU Dominated from start to finish, leading 47-26 @HT, then cruising though out the second half. VCU shot 63% FG (11-24 3s), scored 18 pts off 22 NC A&T TOs and 40 pts in paint while holding NC A&T to 29% FG. Hah’Shon Hyland exploded for 30 pts (11-16 FG, 7-12 3s) in 23 mins and Adrian Baldwin added 10 (4-6 FG, 1-2 3s).

Great height and depth up front, but thin in the backcourt (Curry hurt shoulder vs PSU, Jaren McAllister out for year). Very active on defense (force 18.3 TOs/g), but the defense leaves rebounding gaps. Rams are still searching for chemistry and continuity on offense and are committing unforced TOs.

If we can limit turnovers and shoot decent I like our chances. Can’t let them get a ton of steals.

If what Curry said was true, we should have Long available to play in this one. Not sure how much or if he will play at all. But it’s a shame the JMU game got canceled. That would have been a much better one for him to knock the rust off in.

Yeah that was supposed to be Monday I believe. Guess if we havent seen it from ODU sports or the paper it didnt happen.

Maybe they're keeping it quiet to surprise the bad guys.

NBC Sports Net. In the DMV its the same channel that caps and wizards are on. I'm assuming you can stream on their app as well.

There is gonna be blanket approval for all transfers next week. So we will see long next week if not tomorrow.

We’re an 8.5 pt dog. Not a betting man, but I would take the points and our Monarchs. We’re going to need to shoot 48% or better to win this game.

I was half joking....48% is just a weird number to throw out as the deciding factor between winning and losing.

But, I suspect most games will come done to how well we shoot the 3 vs. how well we defend the 3. Neither have been good this year but luckily we have done a lot of other things well outside of those 2 (which are obvioulsy major). We are borderline top 100 so far (way early obv) on offense despite not shooting 3s well at all, its at least encouraging.

ANd while I don't think we will ever be a great team at defending the 3 in this system, if we lock out the paint and rebound well, we have a chance to overcome it.

That voting is for starting the 2021-2022 season. There is no guarantees for waivers this season. No word yet with Long.

They have been averaging 46% - and I don’t think we can win this game unless we’re more accurate. We’re playing at a faster pace than normal and don’t seem to be as strong on defense this year. I think we’re going to need to score in the 70s to win.
