I’m of the opinion that Silverfield gets a pass on this weird season. That said, I haven’t seen a lot that makes me optimistic for 2021.

Totally agree but I think the problem is deeper than Johns. I think he is calling plays according to Silverfield's philosophy. They have turned one of the best offenses in college football into 3 yards and a cloud of dust in less than one season,,,,,,and before someone says it's because of personal changes remember the offense was built and running strong by lesser talent. Silverfield was literally given the keys to a Corvette and promptly decided to drive it like an old dodge pickup. 07-coffee307-coffee3

The days of glory are over for the program. This staff will not maintain the level of the program we have had for the last 7 years or so.

Silverfield seems to have no idea about playcalling. Missing Mike bigtime in that area for sure!

224 yards of offense for Tulane and 9 minutes left in 2nd q. Wow. just wow. And then I feel like sometimes the whole offense just shows up and rolls out the ball. Just see what happens.

We don't go from the Cotton bowl to having no talent in less than a year. We are more talented than most teams in the league, but our coaching staff has no idea how to motivate or use what we have. Literally the exact problem the MBB team has.

It is a travel deal or something else...This team hasn't performed well on the road.

We are 1-2 on the road...the one win 10-7 against Navy...

And it included the complete embarrassment against Cinci.

Everything about this team looks out of sync. I know it's a "weird" year, but great coaching creates discipline and adjustments and we haven't seen any of that this year.

Don't get our version of the RPO. BW obviously is making no reads so why delay the hand offs other than to allow the defense to react?

Why should he get a pass ? Unproductive employees all across AMERICA are using 2020 as excuse for not being fired. Another example of the everybody gets a trophy---and the WUSSIFACATION of AMERICA. JUST GET THE JOB DONE !

:banghead:the problem is that he does have an idea about play calling because he has been in the system for some years now. He has pulled a bait and switch on us all. He knew that his strongest selling point when he was a coaching candidate was his time spent and familiarity in the Norvell system. This team has won inspite of the the new offensive philosophy unlike in the past when we won because of it. We've seen this before and we know this is only going to get worse. 07-coffee307-coffee3
