Just tore mine on October 31. If you’re over 40, I’m told, they don’t do surgery. Younger maybe yes, maybe no but for a high level athlete almost certainly yes. It’s painful but not much of an impediment for not always activity after a couple weeks.
yeah, it's more of the cushion of the knee. you still have strength without it, but it doesn't feel quite the same if they don't do the surgery. hope you turn the corner H2O, you probably still have a closing sprint dream now and then.
I dream of standing up straight within ten minutes of getting out of bed.
haha, i have an occasional dunking dream, which is ironic cuz I could never dunk even in my best years
I can still get both feet off the floor at the same time. BTW, thanks for the well wishes!

RE: Edu Out Indefinitely
I tore my quadriceps tendon jogging about two years ago. I slipped on black ice. It was pretty painful but at first I did not know the severity of the injury. The quad holds your lower and upper leg together. Every time I tried getting up I fell. To make long story shorter, they had to drill through my knee cap to attach the wires. I’m 78 (UT 65) and at my age it took me quite awhile to get back to normal walking , I have lost most of my lateral movement. [/u]Don’t think I will be dunking any time soon.

Ouch! That’s the one where you ask the doctor “Will I be able to ski?” And when he says “after rehab” you say “Great! I never could before!”

don't know what the difficulty is with the dunking. Key is just to make sure the doughnut is not bigger than the mug.

Lol- that’s the only kind of dunking I’ve done in 40 years.
