Temple QB Anthony Russo Entering Portal

Wow, I'm surprised by Milton leaving.

Terrance Gipson, back up QB to Shane, is in the Portal. Wonder if Shane leaves if they would go after Milton? SMU has had good fortune with Transfer QBs Buechele and Garret Gilbert from UT.

I see Milton going to either Nebraska or Miami, after King leaves.

It all depends on what Matt Corral does. If Corral goes pro, he is currently a rs-sophmore, then it does open up the void for milton. If Corral stays then he is the unquestioned QB.

Cincinnati's Michael Pitts entered the transfer portal. He's a hell of a player and he'll be a great addition for someone. When UC changed to a 3-3-5 he found himself stuck behind two phenomenal DEs on the depth chart. I wish him the best.

Temple has already picked up transfer CBs from Northern Illinois and UConn. Probably going to be a bunch more incoming and definitely at QB.

And Re'Mahn Davis transferred to Vandy.

ECU running back Chase Hayden enters transfer portal

That was short-lived. Just stopped by on his way down to FCS.

"East Carolina running back Chase Hayden has entered the NCAA transfer portal, a source confirms to 247Sports. It's the second time the former four-star recruit has hit the portal in the span of one calendar year, as he previously entered during February of 2020 after a coaching change at Arkansas. Hayden committed to East Carolina and enrolled last summer, but he opted out after three games after freshmen Rahjai Harris and Keaton Mitchell emerged as ECU's leading ball-carriers.

Hayden came to ECU with high hopes after seeing his playing time dwindle at Arkansas. The one-time four-star recruit led the Razorbacks in rushing as a true freshman until a broken leg prematurely ended his season. Hayden bounced back and was able to get playing time as a sophomore and as a junior, but was never handed the No. 1 running back job again, leading to him entering the portal early in his junior year before committing to ECU over Houston, Indiana and other schools."

He just had bad luck - ECU's 2 best running backs were both true freshmen this year, so he really doesn't have a path towards playing time at ECU.

Currently in the portal from ECU...

RB - Chase Hayden (Arkansas transfer that got hurt early and fell behind 2 freshmen RB's.)
DT - Hozey Haji-Badri (Starter last year... backup this year.)
DE - Tagg Bullock (Don't recall him ever playing.)
S - Tank Robinson (One of our best secondary guys for the past 4 years.)
S - Robert Kennedy (JUCO kid that got his shot - but couldn't tackle, and got benched.)
C - Jason Fournet (Reserve lineman that never really played.)

UC backup QB Ben Bryant just entered the portal. Wonder if that means Ridder will be back for another year...

Temple picks up Illinois RB Ra'von Bonner. 822 rushing yards, 10 TDs in 3 years. Sat out this year because of asthma issues with the pandemic.
