If you want to take your program to the next level, you will need to recruit better players then Uche Diabiamaka.

Yes, but if we don't want to drop down into Chi State territory we need to at least be able to keep players like Dibiamaka.

Plus, he was getting better with every game toward the end.

We've all known for months that Mikey was not coming back to GCU. Many assumed he was going to pursue a pro career overseas. Looks like he is gonna give it one more go in college, probably somewhere in the northeast/mid-atlantic to be closer to home (Delaware). Lopes are stacked at the guard spot so it's not much of a loss talent wise. Lopes fan wish Mikey all the best in his future endeavors.

It's a big loss in the fact he was GCU's 4th leading scorer. GCU will be without 4 of 5 of its leading scorers. GCU has a lot of question marks going into next season.

Team chemistry will be an issue with losing potentially four starters from last season but GCU did add Arizona State transfer Holland Woods (6.7 ppg) and Bucknell transfer Walter Ellis (8.8 ppg) who both had multiple starts at their prior schools. They should help fill the voids left on GCU's perimeter.

Right Now, NMSU only has one returning starter (Jabari Rice) from a season ago. We could be in a similar situation as GCU unless Henry, Tillman, and McCants return. We already lost Gilyard to the transfer portal.

Saw where Dotsenko has signed with Samford.

Lamar picks up former Aggie guard...

CJ Roberts defense might be a little spotty but he is a topsy-turvy scorer. He might have been the most creative scorer NMSU had last season.

I missed this news until now. Big Idaho, as he's known, would have been huge for that program. I'm really sad I won't get to see him play another year. I enjoyed all of his time at BYU.

It sucks that he didn't get accepted in the Masters program he wanted in at Dixie and essentially had no academic way forward.

He had Covid at one point, then pneumonia and missed the WCC tournament and NCAA and probably felt like he didn't get to wrap up his career, but decided to just let the last season go.

RE: WAC Transfers
Great pick up by Lamar getting CJ Roberts. He’s a strong, aggressive guard that can score in so many ways. I was hoping he’d stick around with us but I’m glad the WAC is keeping a quality player like him in the conference.

CJ Roberts can score but is a liability on defense.
