Rap showing early signs of being a chucker. When he gets the ball, he don't give it up. I thought he missed a few times of passing to guys with better looks.

Someone see if Larry Davis is available to come back and work on shooting form. Lol

Think about this though...we're still shooting 43.3% from the field, which wouldve caused mass euphoria on this board 3 years ago 03-lmfao

RE: Lipscomb Game Thread
I'd say Rap was our best player of the half. He showed he can defend at the 5 as well. Part of it is that with their center on Vogt, Lipscomb doesn't have a second big man to guard Rap. But even with Vogt out Rap contributed solidly on offense.

Our returning players looking like they haven't improved where I'd hoped they would. Vogt continued the trend of being a net negative, Diarra continued the trend of last year of not playing well at the 4 (and Asadullah is too big for Diarra to handle at the 5), Keith continued the trend of committing too many silly fouls.

I'd like to see Rap and Eason get some time together in the 2nd half. Eason had a pretty nice defensive impact when he came in (also had a couple silly fouls).

Most importantly, somebody needs to hit some open 3's. If we hit open 3's we'd have a comfortable lead right now. I'm not sure our defense has been that good, Lipscomb has had a lot of self-inflicted errors (that #13 of Lipscomb committed like 3 dumb plays in a row).

I'd also like to see Davenport get some more minutes. He was passing well when he was in.

First half thoughts: maw was the best player on the court. Really glad we have rap. They can't really match vogt/rap if we get it to them. Dejulius struggled but I'm sure it will come. Need Keith to move his feet and stop fouling. It was obvious they've played and we haven't.

I wouldn't have guessed that, and you're absolutely right about the euphoria.

I'm happy to see MAW and Harvey going to the bucket early. That was the one thing I was worried about with those two, if they'd build up the confidence and start being aggressive guards rather than being as passive as they were last year.

Some flashbacks to Kyle Washington. Sometimes it's nice to have a chucker when no one else wants to score. Sometimes you wish he'd pass the ball though.

Rap has shown better offensive rebounding than I expected. Which has allowed him to have a pretty major impact on the game. Granted he's mostly been being guarded by a much smaller guy, but he managed to grab an offensive board in the short time he was playing center as well.

13-31 which is 41.9%

So we are shooting 61.9% from 2 point range. Might want to notice that and get it into the paint.

I'm sold on our coach (for now). But this is as ugly as it gets. There's a lot of talent on that floor not pulling their weight.

Everybody discounting the loss of Cumberland and Scott.

This is truly year 1 of CJB. And it’s a COVID year.

And we were too broke to pay for tune up games.

Eason with an ugly run of play there. He's definitely got the talent, but he's still a freshman.

I actually miss Mick Cronin when I watch this junk. It’s really bad basketball. But the staff needed to host an MTE with some really bad teams before this. Stop trying to schedule like you are top 15 team.
