I said per semester. Two semesters per year would make $30 million. $300 student athletic fee is probably a low guess too.

Missed that. You are correct.

RE: MAC Parity
Reason AAC is better than the MAC is b/c they historically are the better programs. That's all it comes down to. That gave them access to bigger budgets so better coaches, facilities, etc.

RE: MAC Parity
Our bottom teams are what hurts us the most. When they do rankings of all 132 teams & 5 of the bottom 15 or so are MAC teams, that's not a good look. Those bottom teams have to get better. As a whole the conference needs to win their matchups vs CUSA & the SunBelt, & beat the bad teams of the other FBS conferences.

It's true that they're generally better programs, but a lot of that comes back to the institutions and locations that make up the conference. They're a conference of large non-flagship public universities or wealthy private schools in large cities, we're a conference of mostly directional publics in midwestern college towns. It doesn't take a lot of analysis to understand how UC/UCF/Memphis got to another level.

It hurts yes, though most of the public ignores it if we have elite teams. No one notices 0-12 UCF when Miami had Big Ben or 2-10 Buffalo when WMU had their big season. It's the model that the WCC does well in basketball, they have Gonzaga and BYU at the top to give them a good name so no one needs to pay attention to their bottom feeders (who are usually below the worst MAC teams in hoops).
