The franchisee closed all the Hampton Roads locations after a pricing dispute and sued the company.

For what it’s worth, I have been noticing College enrollment for seniors at Catholic HS This year and I’m quite surprised with the numbers from a private school. I’ve also heard academics at Catholic HS are above average. I like it! Is this normal for every year?

https://www.facebook.com/CHSVBcrusaders/

In order from most acceptances:
1. ODU - 16
2. TCC - 5
3. VT - 5
4. VCU - 5
5. GMU - 4
6. W&M - 3
7. CNU - 2
8. UVA - 1

I don't think this is too unprecedented. When I worked in admissions back in 1996 and 1997 ODU had the second most Valedictorians and Salutatorians enrolled in the state behind UVA. ODU attracts a ton of really good students. I was, but we are not all Old, Dumb, and Ugly

I thought it was Ol' Drunk. Which later became Ol' Dirty. Which I hate. At least "drunk" is fun.

Out Drink U. and Old, Drunk and Useless were the two most common lines we used in my day.

WODU: What Others Don't Understand was a motto we'd used for a short bit, as was
"Woube's Old Dirty Underwear" which was aimed at my co-sports director, Woube Gebre.

Didn't know if I should put this in the covid thread or here, so I'm putting it here. The state is refinancing bonds related to capital projects in order to help provide savings to the state's colleges and universities. "Old Dominion University is looking at $29.8 million in savings".

You can probably buy a nice north end zone for that amount.

Or putting these funds in the auxiliary reserves that have been severely hit by having less students on campus eating in dining halls, living in residence halls, purchasing parking decals, etc. There are things more important than athletics, IMHO.

Fair point. Does anyone know how much the ODU residence halls and on campus population has been reduced? I thought I read that we actually had an increase in enrollment this year, but I think they count online in that too. The college I work for is running at about 30% capacity on campus, and is bleeding cash due to not being able to charge fees.

Not sure of the residency rate but you’re correct that they’re including online enrollment in that figure.

ODU's fall enrollment is up, but it is mainly online enrollment.

Maybe the S is on back order....

It is probably grammatically correct to say Monarchs Volleyball, but it sounds better to me to say Monarch Volleyball (or Football or Basketball). Just straight up without the team name though it should be plural.
