Congrats to Connor Kochera for being named the VaSID (Virginia Sports Information Directors) Men's Basketball Rookie of the Year!

Luke Loewe was named to the Second Team!

Congratulations to Lauren Finikiotis for being named to Second Team All-State for Women's Indoor Track and Field by the VaSID (Virginia Sports Information Directors)!

Congratulations to Josh Lewin for being named the Rookie of the Year in Men's Indoor Track! He was named by the VaSID (Virginia Sports Information Directors) and they also named him to the Second Team All-State in the Middle Distance category!

Congrats also to Michael Fairbanks who was named to the Second Team in the Jumps category (pole vault)!

I don't know why this announcement wasn't made more than a week ago when the Championship was actually held....

The CAA named Mila Saric as the Most Outstanding Performer at the CAA Women's Tennis Championship (W&M finished second). Congratulations Mila!!

Congratulations to Belle Martire and Courtney Vasquenza for earning CAA Postseason Lacrosse honors!

Martire was named to the All-CAA Second Team!

Vasquenza was named to the All-Rookie Team!

Martire's stats (as shown in the CAA article) are far better than her peers' on the Second Team. Looks to me like she should have been named to the First Team. I guess such snubs go with the territory when you are on the last place team. If I remember correctly, she got similarly snubbed from the First Team in 2019 (although I think she won Rookie of the Year). I hope this isn't a repeat of the snubs that Kyra Kaylor also got in WBB.

Congratulations to Mila Saric for her huge haul of awards for CAA Women's Tennis!

Mila not only earned Player of the Year but she also earned First Team in Singles and First Team in Doubles (teamed with Vitoria Okuyama).

Besides First Team Doubles, Vitoria also earned Second Team Singles and Third Team Doubles (teamed with Jill van den Dungen).

Kudos also to former Tribe player Charlotte Madson (now playing at UNCW as a grad student). Charlotte was Second Team Singles and Third Team Doubles. (One has to wonder if the Tribe would have won the conference this year if Charlotte had still been on the team).

Congratulations to Sarah Houle for earning Second Team All-CAA in Women's Golf!

Congratulations to a plethora of Tribe Swimmers for being named All State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors:

Annie Tuttle and Missy Cundiff were named to the First Team!

Katie Stevenson and Elizabeth Intihar were named to the Second Team!

Various groupings won Relay awards including Tuttle, Cundiff, Stevenson and Anna Kenna, Megan Bull, Corinne Davenport, and Maura Graff!

On the Men's side, Jake Kealy and Graham Hertweck both earned All State Second Team honors!

Congratulations to Tribe winners of All-CAA recognition in Men's Tennis:

Lev Kazakov earned First Team Singles!
George Davis and Brenden Volk earned First Team Doubles!
Davis also earned Second Team Singles!

Awards season should definitely be winding down. CAA Baseball announced its awards and W&M has some winners:

Ben Williamson was also named to the First Team, as well as being named to the All-Rookie Team!

Matt McDermott was named to the Second Team and was also named the CAA Defensive Player of the Year!
