It seemed odd to me we didn't take our second timeout with 20-some seconds left, so we wouldn't have to hurry the next play (which resulted in a sack). But in the end, a short FGA is an OK result.

Sounded like blow to the head. I assume to the QB.

Jovoni should occasionally run off a handoff-fake. Looked like he had an open half-field opposite where the handoff-run was directed.

Wow, almost a disaster for Marshall as their QB just plain drops it in the endzone. Luckily recovers it and throws it away. That's two fumbles for Marshall that have led to fortunate recovers.

Just a marvelous plan from Smith and the staff and execution from the players. Marshall gonna punt from inside the 5. And then a good return from Bailey and we'll start our second drive from well inside Marshall territory.

I feel like I'm cursing it, but have we seen a better defensive performance from a Rice team in the past 5-10 years? This is a masterclass from Bloomgren, Smith, the staff, and the players.
