Georgia-Vandy got postponed because players opted out after their coach was fired. They were already close to the 53 man limit and that put them under. Mississippi St. was below 53 when they played Georgia, but came and nearly beat Georgia. It was senior day, so the late cancellation messed up the parents' plans.

Article mentions Buffalo-Ohio was cancelled Friday, saying it clinches the MAC East for Buffalo.

So far the MAC has not announced that as fact, so many news stories had to backtrack. Unfortunate as UB's bus caravan was half way to Athens.

AP Story

Its logical. If Buffalo loses to Akron they will be 4-1 with wins over Miami and Kent. Kent can finish 4-1 and Miami 3-1, but Buffalo will have the tiebreak. They clearly beat out those two.

Now Ohio could still finish 3-1. They would be 3-0 in division vs. Buffalo's 3-1 (we're assuming the unlikely event of a loss to hapless Akron). But Buffalo would have 4 wins vs. 3 and wins over both the other contenders-Miami and Kent. Ohio would only have a win over Kent (assuming they win next week). It all depends on what the priorities are in the tiebreaks, but likely Buffalo wins.

Now for a real mess, look at CUSA West. UTSA is 5-2. La Tech 4-2. UAB 2-1. Rice 1-2. UTSA has beaten LT and lost to UAB, as well as FAU in the other division. LT has beaten UAB, lost to UTSA and had their other loss to Marshall in the other division. UAB of course lost to LT and beat UTSA. Rice is among the nation's leaders in cancellations with 6 so far. They lost to MTSU in the other division and UNT in division and still have UAB on the schedule.

UTSA and LT are done with conference games. Rice has two games left and UAB has just Rice.
