RE: FB DeCommit
Damn, he was by far our highest rated commit. A big hit to what at this point isn't that strong a class.

We seem to be stalled in recruiting and on the field.

On the bright side, we’ve got 30 walkons we can choose from for this scholarship.

RE: FB DeCommit
He asked Coach Clark if there’s a plan to change OC
Coach Clark said no
He decided to go elsewhere

(Disclaimer: I have no inside info and absolutely no basis for this)

What highly rated WR would want to play for this OC and QBs. We have issues and Coach BC need to address it. It’s frustrating to watch.

RE: FB DeCommit
Decommitted does not mean "I don't like UAB" -- it jut means he does not want to "go steady" anymore. He may come back in the future to play for UAB which has happened before. I am much more concerned that UAB continue to grow its financial base and keep growing its football facilities to match our competition. Our Football Operations bldg is new to us "old timers" but is "old news" to the teen age recruits.

Dang! The new stadium has to count for something!

That's what they said about Paul Johnson but he'd churn out an all-pro receiver every few years. Watkins is about to go in the 2nd round this year, I doubt it's that difficult to recruit WRs.

I'm sure it does but primarily as a new RENTAL stadium to replace Legion Field for UAB. I am most concerned with the daily available on campus football facilities the athlete encounters and uses every day. What is the next planned on campus facility for our football program?

So, what exactly do you think is lacking in our 'every day' facilities?

I'm not the one to ask. How about posing that question to the football coaching and recruiting staff to see if they feel they have any present needs to be filled . Perhaps they will agree with some of you that we have all that we need for the next 50 years, but I doubt it. Since the water fall was mentioned, Bama announced last spring a $5million upgrade of their athlete nutrition facility.
