Ok, I am officially putting my expectations for this years team on the shelf for the rest of this year. Unless they suddenly develop a team orientated mentality, they ain't gonna achieve nothing.

CPH needs to come down hard on these kids if they are not doing what he wants them to do and play the way he wants them to play.

And if what we see is what they are being told to do, then we really got problems...

I hope the irrational expectations of an unusually ignorant fan base don't dampen the enthusiasm these players and coach have for our city and program. A fair perspective from all parties is what I hope for. What I expect; certainly from the fan base, is raw unadulterated crass statements and actions of rudeness and stupidity.

Do not know if this was the intention for your post. But, you are categorizing ALL OF THE TIGER NATION FANS as 'unusually ignorant'. You are using some of the posts on this board to make that assumption or claim. This is a SMALL sample size of Tiger nation fans.

Expectations low & getting lower....... because Penny dishes out minutes politically to make sure players like him rather than shrink the rotation & develop team play.

We've seen a long, slow but steady decline since Cal left. Nothing has been done by the school to stop it. Say hello to irrelevence.

I had such high hopes for Penny but it's become painfully obvious he isn't getting it done. I haven't decided if it's because he just can't coach at this level or if it's something else like ego/pride that blinds him to all the too numerous mistakes being repeated in each game.

Something has to change because this team is barely above AAU level of play.

I said the WKU loss was embarrassing and there were lots of fan bases laughing at us. People disagreed with me. After last night, they’ve kinda crawled back in their holes about this team. As for fans of other schools, I’ve had to silent my phone because friends and family who are Vols & Rebels are sending one giddy text after another. Remember when the idea got floated of OM talking to Penny before we hired him? Every OM fan I know now says thank the Lord they dodged that bullet and got Kermit. Let that sink in. Penny has made us into a laughingstock.

I expect to see more of this offense from the Tigers. Lmao

Not just irrationally fans expectations, Memphis is predicted to finish no lower than 2nd in the AAC by virtually everyone in the business based upon our talent. But based on what we are seeing, we'll be mid-pack at best just like the last 5+ seasons (and maybe lower if changes aren't made immediately).
