Coward back with Arizona

Quote:The Arizona Cardinals made four roster moves on the practice squad on Wednesday.

They brought back offensive lineman Rashaad Coward, who signed with the team in training camp and was on the practice squad earlier this year. He had landed on the practice squad injured reserve and later waived with an injury settlement. Enough time has passed that he could re-sign.

Verlander was dealing last night. Set his team up to not only win the World Series but also for him to cash in on one more payday.

Happy for Big Sal. He deserves it and is clearly on his way to a pro career. But that is gonna be a big hole to fill on the line next year.

100%. Just getting to the Senior Bowl is huge. Most of those players get drafted.

Ryan Yarbrough dropped by the Rays. Not unexpected.

ICYMI - Rashaad Coward played much of the game for the Cardinals last Sunday and played pretty well. Tim Ward was signed by the Packers -- not sure if he's on the active roster or practice squad.

I do a check on different players periodically, but hadn't seen these yet.
Thanks.

Hoping Yarbs gets picked up by Quatraro.

RE: Monarchs Playing Pro Ball
Justin Verlander won the third Cy Young Award of his career. He went 18-6 with a ERA of 1.75, and a WHIP of 0.83. JV's ERA is the lowest ever for a 39 year old or above pitcher, and the lowest since Pedro Martinez posted 1.74 ERA in 2000. All of this after coming off of Tommy John surgery two years ago.

A big congratulations to Verlander!

Though it won't be an easy task, now that he has been named the starting over Carson, I would love to see Taylor take Washington to the playoffs. Perhaps then they will become true believers.

To be clear, he has not been "named the starter." They have not activated Wentz off the IR so he's not allowed to fully practice. Thus, Heinicke is starting Sunday. They are delaying a decision for a week. Though, they did say there is a chance they activate Wentz to be the backup on Sunday.

I expect Heincke to start the next couple games as long as they win.

The mixed signals have got to be tough on Taylor. But, I here he thrives on the pressure and loved the challenge.

From the interviews I've seen, Heinicke is just happy to be playing football. He's got a following now that transcends Commanders-land and many people will remember this early '20s era of WFT/Commanders for his gutsy play. Starter or backup, I couldn't be prouder of him. He's come a long way from getting thrown in as a Freshman against UMass

Makes sense with his physical stature and he did play as a pass catcher at college level. Wish him the best.

Stone Smart got into the game, #48 I believe. His name was mentioned a couple times.
