Anyone know if these games will be televised on CUSA-TV or other outlets?

The Lady Monarch women's game against Virginia Wesleyan, originally scheduled for December 22, has been cancelled due to a suspension of team activities at VWU.

Why isn’t it considered sexist to shut down the women but not the men? Serious question? It’s either dangerous to play or not.

All sorts of conspiracy theories among the Triangle (UNC, NC State, Duke) fan bases here (not that a lot of them care much about women's basketball). Shutting down women is a trial run for the Duke men; they are being used as guinea pigs to see how various constituencies react; they want to avoid a losing season; Coach K is the mastermind behind it all, etc. IMHO the most reasonable answer is because they've had some positive tests and they are doing it for legitimate reasons.

If that it truly the case, my question would then be, wouldn't that only have them lose a handful of games? You would still have a majority of your conference schedule to play. I'm interested in the release from the VP stating that they "support their decision." If they agree and support that decision, why not put that in place for the remainder of their athletics teams?

My question for the day is why the ladies are traveling TO Delaware State. Forgive me, but our legacy means this should NEVER, EVER happen!!!

I read today that DUKE WBB was having daily testing, their opponents were going through weekly protocols, which led the team to walk.

This was the decision of the ODU coaching staff.

It may have been reported as such, but that's a thin excuse. Yes, the main reason some conferences cancelled the remainder of their non-conference schedules, so they can have testing consistencies during conference play, NOT to cancel the entire season. ACC schools (along with other P5 schools) have mandated protocols for conference play. The fact that Duke WBB (and not MBB) decided to cancel their entire season, there has to be other things going on.

I can see the benefit of playing verses just practicing for another week. I am sure the options for opponents were limited

About to lose to the 14th out of 14 pre-season ranked team at home. Yikes.

FIU shot the lights out. We weren't getting back on D, so they beat us at our own game. The girls looked gassed, think we only played 7. The rust was there after taking 18 days off. Bad lost.

Seems the girls so far have had trouble getting back on D. Is this a coaching style change or just not emphasizing it enough.
