SMU has no WR depth. The moment Roberson went down, the team started struggling. When Gray went down it went further South. Yesterday, both Page and Rice looked banged up - they certainly weren't performing at their usual level. Our OL also struggled, which led to some silly QB mistakes.

SMU has a bunch of WRs TEs on the roster - some were highly rated and look the part. I'm not sure why we can't get more of them to deliver. Heck ECU marched out the Waterboy and Rudy, and they played like Jerry Rice and Randy Moss. No disrespect for Proehl or Snead, as they were amazing. I would not expect 244 yds and 3 TDs from those two against our secondary, especially when matched with Stephens and Crossley.

Congratulations to ECU - especially in the 1st half. That was an epic beatdown. Hopefully we learned something form this and get a few Ws to end the season.

Part of having an air raid offense. The teams always seems to drift away as the season goes along. ECU had its issues with that with Ruffin.

I think that physicality matters more as the season progresses. ECU was playing hard nosed football in the 1st half. A finesse team, no matter how good, can get rattled when you hit them in the mouth enough times. Mike Houston has slowly molded ECU into a team that embodies his philosophy.

I am really glad we played that game last week vs Temple because I truly believe the Philly curse has been lifted. Back in 2014, we were the finesse team playing in cold rainy weather & it's been all down hill ever since until the last week or so. Moving forward, we should be the team that thrives in November because inclement weather and having to persevere late in the season in a brutally violent sport favors a physical tough minded team. No more out gaining a team by 300 yds and getting 3x the 1st downs only to lose.

You must have missed the game last year because Snead had 240 yards and 3 TDs by himself last year against your secondary.

That sure resembled the effort in that Florida Atlantic beatdown last year.

No idea how Memphis lost to SMU. Their secondary is playing flag football.

Yeah that was a dumb comment unless they don't watch any football. Snead had first-hand success against SMU going into this game; Proehl has super bowl DNA and has recorded 2 drops over his entire college career.
