Not so sure that was the reason - they have now scheduled St Peter's tomorrow for the GMU cancellation.

I think they just want to get as much practice as possible before ACC play, as well as building up the record.

As an alum of an ACC institution, I can assure we aren't letting those a-holes back in.

04-cheers

Bingo! That was my first thought also.

Yes it is. Furthermore, I absolutely see no gain for them financially or competitively across all sports.

JMU announced that they added a game at Coppin State on December 10th with a return game in Harrisonburg next season so at present time we still have one open game.

I had never heard of Collin State. You meant Coppin State. 04-cheers I thought "collin" state was another D2 or D3 program I had not heard of.

Coppin is 0-1 with a 10 pt loss at Duke. Will play 3 games in next 4 days prior to our game against GW, Drexel, and G'Town. They should be nice and tired for us. :)

Last year they rocked Lou Rowe's boys and I believe that is when the wheels fell off the 19-20 season. Believe we had to beat them in OT the year before that.

Will we go 0-2 vs the supposedly lesser MEAC?

Coppin State head coach is Juan Dixon, very good player at Maryland and had a good career with the Wizards. They looked good against Duke, they can score so it’ll be a good test for our defense. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them too Norfolk State in the MEAC

You certainly don't. It seems like many years there are teams on our schedule I've never heard of. This year we had Limestone and Carolina. Did not realize there was a plain 'ol "Carolina" college. 03-lmfao

RE: Future MBB Schedule (2020+)
Just a reminder that the Dukes are scheduled to resume playing this Saturday at ECU. ECU has looked good in the early schedule and they have a formidable front court player. Dooley appears to have them on the right track.

The next scheduled game is 12/22 at Florida. One of Florida’s best players recently collapsed during a game and is still hospitalized. I believe TJ we have already canceled an upcoming game due to this tragic event around the program but JMU is scheduled to play there in a week.

The DNR has an article about resuming play and the Holiday break. It appears that the Dukes won’t play between Florida and their Caa opener with Towson on 1/2 due to quarantines etc. however Coach B has said that he hopes to schedule Mason and ODU during the conference season given that JMUs Caa games will be back to backs on the weekends so a game on a Wednesday vs a local team could be feasible in February for example.

Not sure this is the right place to discuss upcoming games, but since you started it.

ECU beat Radford by 12
We beat Radford by 8

Could be a good game.

Just a quick note on that EZU game if it indeeds goes as planned...

...the original released schedule had it as a 2pm tip. Note, it has been moved up to a 1pm tip. Game is scheduled to be streamed live via ESPN+.

Was watching the Alabama Furman game tonight and they advertised that the JMU Florida game on 12/22 will be on the Sec Network/ESPN.

Correct. That was reported about 3 weeks ago. Let's hope it goes as planned. Prayers out to the Florida program as they had one of their players collapse during a game last week and he is at Univ. Fla. Hospital in critical care. Scary stuff.
