That would be great. If we had to lose one, I'm glad it is a non-D1 opponent. We get very little out of those scrimmages (IMO) and we already replaced one with another. Considering everything that is being experienced across the nation in D1 hoops, I'll just be glad if we can get the games we currently have on the docket in.

Side note, in addition to the SEC Network going to televise our game at Florida live, EZU's schedule indicates our game at their place on the 19th will be streamed live via ESPN+. Hoping our morning (11am) tip against Mason on the 12th in Richmond will be streamed live via ESPN+ or the like. Not yet announced that I can find.

ODU game is a week away so if a game before then is in the works we should hear soon.

Mettlen suggested the W&M games may be Hampton and Gw which I would take. Obviously would love a game or two can Acc but I’ll take two additional D1 against regional schools to help JMU round its rotation and gel more in advance of what may be a tough Ecu game, ODU, Mason and Florida.

I doubt it will stop ppl from crying, but we're playing UMD.

he he - I forgot about Matt coming back. Wish I could be there to say "hi". Matt was good in a lot of ways for JMU, but JMU held on too long. And then when they did they downgraded the position.

I hope everyone on all these squads can stay healthy both for them and for this run of games coming up.

Huge get with Big 10 Maryland and it probably means we are playing there next year as a return game. Good stuff. This is what we need.

If Elon paused, then JMU can go after Duke and UNC too. Both are on Elon’s schedule. Get it while the getting is good.

I think I read on Mettlen's Twitter that this is a one off game. No money exchanging hands and no return game. It looks like it got put together very quickly as both teams were in a rush to put this on the schedule, so maybe they will continue to negotiate a return game for next year or the year after. Keep adding local P5s guys. It can never hurt, right?

Mason pausing. They cancelled their UMD game, our game with GMU could also be called off depending on severity.

Maryland likely knew GMU was canceling and called JMU knowing we were looking for a game this week. I feel we will continue to see a lot of this type of scheduling on the fly based on proximity and availability.

So now we can play UNC. Elon cancelled the Dec 12 game with them and that is the day JMU was supposed to play Mason in Richmond. If Mason shuts down 14 days then the opening is there.

If we keep this up, JMU could have half of the ACC suddenly on the schedule. YES!

I think this type scheduling frenzy is what many of us thought could have happened with JMU football.

Not so sure that was the reason - they have now scheduled St Peter's tomorrow for the GMU cancellation.


I think they just want to get as much practice as possible before ACC play, as well as building up the record.
